So most of us know that we have to curl in some way shape or form in order to build our biceps but there's actually a lot more than goes into the bicep such as the long, short head, the brachialis (which lies beneath the other two heads) and it's cousin with a even longer name brachioradialis. All these muscle play a role in getting bigger arms and even the your forearm muscles which crossover the elbow is responsible for elbow-flexion movements can only aid yourself in increasing your bicep size. Also even though the brachialis is a fairly small muscle and underneath the other two heads, increasing its size can increase the overall size of your arm.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So what I have here is the major muscle groups of your bicep and if you want well developed arms, you're going to have to hit all the muscle groups.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let's go over some of the breakdown:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Long Head:
-With your arms being behind the plane of your body you can target this specific head.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
*Most commmon exercises*
-Incline Dumbbell Curl
-Hammer Curls
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Short Head:
-With your arms being in front of your body you can target this specific head.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
*Most commmon exercises*
-Preacher Curls
-Lying Cable Concentration Curls
-High Cable Curls
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Brachialis:
-With your arms being in neutral position.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
*Most common exercises*
-Hammer Curls
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Brachioradialis:
-With your arms being in neutral position.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
*Most commmon exercises*
-Reverse Curls
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Of course there are a lot more variations of types of curls you can perform, these are just the basics and it gets you thinking of all the dimensions of the bicep.

Like how it has always been, pretty sure aage bhi, we've done videos and projects almost as soon as we've thought about it. (She has done it more than I have) Which has always been exciting and fun. And recently, we've started to earn from it too. So yay! .
.
Because we had spent considerable time on this video, I dread that I can't get the song out of my head now. .

⁣⁣ Day 15 -100 Rep Challenge ⁣⁣
Scapular wall push up ⁣
⁣⁣
Day 15 - half way done! 🙌🏻⁣
⁣
Keep going, especially in this busy season make sure you keep showing up for yourself in small ways! ⁣
⁣
This exercise is especially good for those that sit all day. ⁣
⁣
It can help to strengthen those high up neck muscles and will help to pull your shoulders back. ⁣
⁣
Don’t forget to step into a doorway and stretch your chest out. ⁣

  • #Day6 is a quick sketch of this glass of Rhubarb pie by @boulderlocavore ! . Looks so refreshing and yum!! I want to drink it all!!! Loving my #hobbesorange by @bluepinearts!
.
I soooo desperately need a white gel pen to get that transparent glass effect.. I know I could increase the saturation in the darker areas to bring out the highlights.. but it feels like I’m overworking it! .
Asking all my artists friends for any tips and tricks on what works for you to create the glass or transparent effect!!

  • Day 9: A game that didn't live up to the hype.

Oh boy. I expect some comments on this one 😂. I've held my thoughts in about Dark Souls for years(I'm pretty sure I've never posted about it..but maybe I have...), but since it fits the bill here, here we go. Now, we can all be MATURE about this. Ok. I respect Dark Souls. But I have some major problems with it. Before you feel the need to type "git gud", allow me to say that I beat it. Yes, its incredibly difficult. I feel that people overhype the skill aspect here because IN MY OPINION there are things about the combat that people praise, but I found to be lazy and even sometimes quite broken. Then there's the cryptic nature of everything. I played through with a guide. I'm all for cryptic, but there are some things here that you basically need a guide for. Yet everyone gets mad at something like Simon's Quest over the cryptic-ness brought about by the poor translation. SLIGHT SPOILERS in case you haven't played this: How am I supposed to know you need to kill a boss(which I felt was put forth as optional based on it's location) to get a ring to drop into The Abyss and fight The Four Kings? Because of tHe lOre? Which brings me to one of the worst, possibly most overhyped thing about this: The lore. You ask anyone about Dark Souls and they'll practically pitch a tent in their pants over how wonderful the lore is, or how great the story is! Its....its not. Here's how the lore works in this game. You'll find an item...let's call it "Horny Ring". Then you get a blurb of flavor text that'll say something like "Phobos The Horny's ring, which he lost because he became horny during Lord Gwyn's wedding." Then you're supposed to take all of this stuff and somehow piece it together and OH MY GOD THE LORE I'M SO TURNED ON HNNNGGG. I'm sure I'm oversimplifying it, but that's what I got out of it. It just sucks because I do like a lot about the game. Mainly the designs of everything, and the ideas. But everyone needs to chill in the hype department a lot in my opinion. What's worse is I am really interested in Sekiro and Bloodborne, but I just feel like its going to have the same problems. I'm done. Don't be too mad, please.

Day 9: Aunt May's Death

There were a few that I could've chosen for this one, like the opening to The Last of Us or when a certain character dies in FF7 but I chose this one

Its sad obviously cause its Aunt May, the last living member of Peters family and the one constant in Peters ever changing life as Spiderman, and its even more sad cause as the scene progresses, you realise that Aunt May knew that Peter was Spiderman and she chose not to reveal this to him as it was his secret to tell.

Its all the more saddening as the scene is played out very much as a typical Spiderman scenario, he can save his Aunt by being selfish and use the cure he has to save her but doom the city, or save the city and doom his Aunt.

Definitely one of the more heartbreaking scenes in recent video games I've played, definitely give this one a go

  • Today Day 8. Today was a rough day. Fighting my mind constantly is exhausting. What was... what thing could be... why didn't I see a path... how to be better... is this it... the questions go on and on. Im a happy person, I live to make others happy and smile. Sometimes at great cost to myself. It's going to be awhile until I find my true smile again, and that's ok.
In the mean time Im going to keep my promise to myself and be active everyday... plus do what I can to make others genuinely smile.
Today was a bad fight.....but I won. Im worth it! I will be worth everything!

  • Day 8 - Family/Friends -

Today, I choose to be grateful for my family, who are my best friends. This was our first trip up north after Mom passed. So bittersweet, so full of love and joy ❤️
We have a tradition of taking pictures in front of the lake when we leave. This was our best attempt 😂 Mom was the main photographer and I'm sure she would have loved the group selfies! .

  • Self Love Day 8: Master the art of saying “no”

From our personal lives to the workplace, most of us usually take on as much as, or more, than our plate can hold. We stretch ourselves so thin, many a times making commitments that seem to mostly focus on fulfilling others’ needs.

But there is an art to it that makes it less awkward, & which gets easier with a little tact and practice. Turning down loved ones, coworkers, and especially your boss can be tricky - responding with a knee-jerk “no” is generally hard to pull off without some negative repercussions.
Here’s are some tips:
1. First, evaluate the request: do you have the capability & capacity to fulfill this request without compromising yourself, your values, & other commitments? If top-priority, can adjustments be made to your existing schedule/commitments to accommodate the new request? Is this something you really want to decline? .

2. Be kind, but firm: Whoever is seeking your help is probably going to be unhappy with your answer. Show empathy through your tone and choice of words that the problem remains unresolved and still in their hands, but be sure they understand your answer is “no”
.

3. Don’t beat around the bush: DO NOT be that person who overcommits and then flakes or doesn’t deliver as promised. It’s a quick way to lose credibility, and I can guarantee, whoever sought your help would rather you turn them down off the bat when they would have time/opportunity to seek assistance elsewhere, than to be disappointed with the end-result. Avoid delaying-tactics - “I’ll try” & “Let me get back you” wastes time and sets false expectations. .

4. Manage expectations (yours + theirs): You can do & say everything as well as possible, but know that they are probably going to still be disappointed & that’s ok. A great way to soften the blow of rejection, is to offer an alternate solution. Maybe you can even assist to a lesser degree? If so, state clearly what you can do instead.

We all want to be helpful and don’t want to attract negative backlash, especially at work, but you don’t want to overextend & risk your productivity, credibility and sanity!

  • This time of year I can’t help but reflect on the year that was.. and also start to frame up and start visualise the year ahead... 💯
.
.
I often think about decisions that I could of made to to put myself and my family in better place financially and also position to be able to do more with my time what I am passionate about... not living in regret but making sure that I am always in a position of improving my current position✅
.
.
The truth is opportunities come to you but sometimes our small vision limited us from grabbing a hold of it and running with it to bring change to our current situation.
.
.
I do know that this year that I can safely say that I have definitely grabbed a hold of an amazing opportunity with Arbonne and now i am definitely on my way to having options in my life..
.
.
I am also extremely passionate about helping others do the same! If you want to know more DM me and let’s talk and start to build a future for your family 💚

  • DAY 14 // S = SLEEP

Today’s little task and something to focus on this week is to switch the T.V off one hour before bedtime!

It may seem harmless to veg in front of the TV before bed… you relax, zone out and eventually fall asleep… I know I have done this many times.

However, if you struggle to get a good nights sleep then this could be something disrupting your sleep.
Why?

1. Well there is always that temptation to stay up longer than normal to finish watching something or watch the next episode… you end up going to bed a lot later than normal.
2. If you are watching a violent/ thriller type show then it can actually leave you feeling quite anxious which can stimulate the bodies stress response right before bed.
3. The main issue is the artificial light.. we have previously explained your body has a natural circadian rhythm that works with the rise and fall of sunlight. At night, your body starts producing the sleep hormone melatonin. The artificial, blue light emitted from screens can trigger the brain to stop making this hormone melatonin.
This week just start with turning the tv off an hour earlier. It is a wonderful place to start!
