  • THE MISTLETOE SECRET aired on the weekend for the first time on @hallmarkchannel and it airs again tonight. It has been a goal of mine for the past few years to work on a Hallmark production and I am very grateful to play a small part (don’t blink or you’ll miss me) in this movie. The fact that my first job with Hallmark happened to be in a Christmas movie (I absolute LOVE Christmas movies) makes the experience even sweeter!

  • Tis the season to be jolly! Falalala!! It’s my favorite time of year and Christmas reading is well on its way. First up is Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses by @jhaleauthor. Thanks @readforeverpub for sending me a copy!
.
.
Nick Sinclair, mysterious rich man with a serious case of the bah humbugs, needs someone to decorate his entire house because his family is coming for Christmas. So he hires Abbey Fuller, single struggling mother full of Christmas cheer! If this sounds like it might be a Hallmark movie, that’s because it definitely is! It was the first @hallmarkchannel Christmas movie of the season. And of course I had to read the book and watch the movie. While the movie was ok, the book was excellent!! The house really came alive in the writing of this story and I loved watching their relationship develop as Nick opened up to her. So take your hand off that remote and read this instead!! .
.
If you’re playing along for #jinglebooks this definitely counts as a Christmas book made into a movie. 🎁🎅🏼❄️🎄

  • Nostalgic Christmas - 2019
🎄
I was so excited to watch this one. I really love Brooke D’Orsay & Trevor Donovan. Together they make a pretty perfect match on screen. The entire cast was fantastic though. 😉
The Christmas feel throughout is so real for me. But I’m going to be honest, with the circumstances regarding the Mill and Bill’s you store .. it’s a bit predictable. Not in a bad way though. I quite enjoyed that it was. So many scenes just make you smile. So sweet and fun, with the perfect amount of romance and love. The way feelings start blossoming .. how Anne is so open and caring to Jessie, melts my heart. ❤️
🎄
Rate: 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🎄
Synopsis: Anne Garrison’s (D’Orsay) annual holiday visit to the small town in Maine where she grew up is somewhat bittersweet this year. With her dad set to sell his toy store and retire from his wood-carving career, and the town’s lumber mill up for sale, this will probably be her last Christmas there. But when Anne is drafted and paired with handsome local widower Keith McClain (Donovan) to co-chair the town’s Christmas celebration, she begins to question what she really wants in life. Soon, Anne becomes torn between returning to her fast-paced career in New York and remaining in the small town to take over her dad’s hand-carved wooden toy business and seeing where a burgeoning romance with Keith might lead.

Loved doing the panel with @rachelboston & @thebubblysesh 😍, and of course seeing my dear friend and master of ceremonies, @jonathandbennett ❤. See my instastories for more! .

•“Picture a Perfect Christmas”📸
•
•An extreme sports photographer who returns home for the holiday to look after her grandmother and ends up lending a helping hand to a neighbor who needs assistance watching his nephew.
•
•
🎄🎄🎄- I need to stop looking at summaries & jumping to conclusions. This one seems straightforward, but actually had a lot of nuance to it and was quite well thought out. There was some redundant plot points, but nothing too ridiculous. We didn’t need an absent & ambivalent boyfriend, IMHO. •
•
❤️❤️❤️❤️ ½- Merritt & Jon have a sweet and natural chemistry. I get a real sense of love developing over time with them. They also seemed to really listen to each other. The attraction felt totally right. The director wasn’t afraid to take their time and give them moments, especially at the end.
•
•
🎁🎁🎁🎁 ¼ -The thing I appreciated most in this movie was the time they put into the characters. They had natural & meaningful interactions. The decisions they faced felt natural and though we had some heavy-handed moments, we also have reasonable answers to prblems that make sense.
•
•
❄️❄️❄️❄️ ¼- A great pairing and well executed story make this one a movie worth sitting down to watch. The actors elevate the material and this is one I would love to see again.

•“Holiday for Heroes”🎖
•
•After a year's worth of letters exchanged between Audrey Brown and soldier Matt Evans, their worlds collide for the first time off the page. Will the spirit of the season bring Matt and Audrey's love beyond their letters?
•
•
🎄🎄🎄🎄- The penpal trope is not one that I think is too overdone and this one is done in a very natural way. Creating a few minor issues that are logically and easily resolved while using the relationship and a few real life troubles that Matt encounters is actually a fantastic plot for a movie.
•
•
❤️❤️❤️❤️ ½- Melissa and Marc have really good chemistry. I love the very natural evolution of their feelings for each other. Both of them have already grown in intimacy via letters and then meeting in person you can definitely see a spark. I appreciate the fact that Marc’s character is very much already in love with Melissa‘s and it totally makes sense and you really understand how he grows deeper in love with her and you can see her growing into a very confused, and yet deep love.
•
•
🎁🎁🎁🎁 ¾ -There are some beautiful details here. The fact that they write letters means that there’s going to be a lack in communication. When Matt shows up at the coffee shop out of the blue I appreciate that you see that it is startling for Audrey. This totally makes sense that she’s a little taken aback and doesn’t know how to react. This is a fantastic detail that really added a truthfulness to the whole story for me. I also appreciate the things about not having all the money that they might need to put on a festival and still having to take a loan out for the coffee shop. The fact that Matt is trying to decide between careers is something Servicemen and women have to deal with all the time. The script had a truthfulness that really gave it life.
•
•
❄️❄️❄️❄️ ¾- Between the GREAT chemistry & the true-to-life story, I really loved it. This is one I will own & watch ALOT. Do yourself a favor & watch this one!

•“A Blue Ridge Mountain Christmas”🏔
•
•Hotel manager Willow returns to her stunning Virginia hometown to help her sister plan a Christmas wedding at the inn her family once owned. She must work with current owner and single dad David, who wants to let go of the past.
•
•
🎄🎄🎄- There are a lot of standard themes here. We have the girl returning to her hometown at Christmas, for a wedding, and her childhood home is in danger of being sold. What is interesting is that she’s not necessarily trying to save the hotel, so much is she just wants to use it for the wedding and one last memorable hurrah. The person buying the hotel isn’t evil or nefarious and the obstacle is more of an emotional one.
•
•
❤️❤️ ½- Um...their chemistry isn’t “bad”, just not really present. They are fine, but nothing sparks with them. Her TRUE love in this is the Inn. We don’t need a love interest.
•
•
🎁🎁🎁 ½- This wasn’t terribly written. There were only a few items that really stood out to me as problematic. One, this girl takes a month off of work and she does discuss how big a deal it is and the fact that she is doing it around Christmas and a wedding, but that is a ton of time to be taking so unless she’s teleworking…this has to be a very specific business that’s allowing her that kind of time off. Also, she seems to think that attorneys don’t have to work more than 40 hours a week which is ludicrous. The other troubling thing was him not willing to let his best friend use the barn until this girl basically convinces him her family is going to pay for the renovations at the hotel! All was a bit much, but I like the fact that we had a very basic plot that was well executed and not over the top. •
•
❄️❄️❄️- It was fine. I recommend this as a ‘I want something on that is sweet’. This isn’t one I would break my neck trying to watch, but it’s not bad at all.
