Earlier I tried to play Lego (I'm told plural is lego, not Legos, by my self-proclaimed "hipster dad" husband) with my daughter and was told that I should wait my turn π³ Don't worry, I'll keep trying! Lol
My daughter got her tonsils and adenoids removed this morning, and I'm so thankful for the care she recieved from all of the amazing doctors and nurses at @mottchildren!
Everyone was kind, thoughtful, calming, and went above and beyond to make this a comfortable experience for her. A magic wand, bubbles, coloring pages, and therapy dog were just a few things they brought to help bring her comfort.
I didn't do so well seeing her in the recovery room when she was waking up from anesthesia. Dad swooped in and was there with her while I sweated through my clothes and had my head by my feet trying not to pass out. π€¦πΌββοΈ So embarrassing. (It's not the first time it's happened, but I never know when it's going to strike.) Anyway, they took great care of me too, and even when I felt fine they had me in the wheelchair just in case π
Not enough words could express my gratitude to her team today; I'm just so thankful.

I made this while thinking of family. Like the leaves in this painting, we're not all related, but it's who we have in our tree that matters. Family is who we make it!

Happy Friday!! Today's my Mama's birthday, and I'm taking her to see @hanson for the first time!! I'm probably more excited than she is, but I think she's going to love it! She used to be a major concert go-er, so I'm excited to experience this with her!
A lot of people say not to look back. I think our past plays an important role in who we are and where we are today. It's ok to remember where you came from.

Sending you all love on this Friday! What are you up to this weekend? Benn and I were going to see some friends this weekend, but it's not going to work out, so we're going to have another working weekend learning more Illustrator!
Mine is being there for my daughter as she grows up and learns new things! I love crafting with her, helping her learn, and watching her enjoy her activities out of the house!
