I sent off my lasssssst galleries of 2019 today which is both a huge relief and intensely bittersweet.
I'm ready for some downtime and to focus on album designs and blogging and planning new adventures for all my new couples for 2020 ... but I'm also so not ready for this year to be over. It's been so freaking good, you guys.
But there is rain outside my window right now that will be turning to snow later today. And I'm curled up on my couch with coffee and my dogs and I'm pretty ok with some downtime for at least a little while.
Hope you're all staying warm and dry out there in Insta land!
The Crags and the Western Fall - Day 3 of one of my favourite loops in the mountains. 80kms of off track walking through some of the most stunning terrain in the Alps. The Rolling Grounds, the Brassies, Mt Jagungal, the Kerries, Mt Tate and Twynam to name some of the highlights.
Some good folks made a movie called "The Radicals," which documents the intersection of snowboarding and activism in BC. Pictured here is one of them, @mariefranceroy. You can check the full flick at @beyondboarding. Highly recommended.
~Long, blue, spiky-edged shadows crept out across the snow-fields, while a rosy glow, at first scarce discernible, gradually deepened and suffused every mountain-top, flushing the glaciers and the harsh crags above them. This was the alpenglow, to me the most impressive of all the terrestrial manifestations of God. At the touch of this divine light, the mountains seemed to kindle to a rapt, religious consciousness, and stood hushed like devout worshippers waiting to be blessed.~John Muir
Yeah This has been and is the most impressive appearances of the Divine Spirit or Holy Spirit on earth to me.The full moon's light was with us all night till 4am.It darkened the whole mountains soon as moon dipped out but this divine light glowed the mountains and the whole earth.
This was a selfie, 200m below the summit of Amadabalm on 11.11.019.
This first flight I took with @cessna90bravo back in the spring made me fall in love with the mountains in an entirely new way. I had always wanted to catch the last bit of sun, lighting up just the peaks of the mountains. It happened on this flight and I've been hooked on it and longing to capture that same light since.
About 10-15 seconds after the sun sets on the #ocean 's horizon, there is a brilliant flickering and pulsing of light. Not #alpenglow ... Something different. Has anyone else seen it? (And that's my buddy, Mitch, enjoying the sunset from a little closer vantage point, not just a random stranger.) #sunset #oceansunset #sunsetoversea #shellbeach

In this soapy collaboration with a client , while working on the theme ELEMENTS OF NATURE, we designed a 4 - part series under LAND, WATER, AIR and FIRE.
For each theme, we had a picture to draw the inference.
PART 2 : LAND
SOAP NAME : ALPENGLOW
DESIGN : Around sunrise and sunset, in a gorgeous display of alpine atmospherics, the mountain peaks at times glow red, orange or even purple
