Door decorating contest is complete at Stewartsville! The original idea came from @artwithmrsgreen last year! Have you seen her doors!? She is AMAZING! Happy holidays friends! We are so close to winter break! 💙❄️
You are invited to the first of two Senior Art Exhibit installments. The first show will feature: Ty’Nisha Harley (In Memorium) Jenniele Juarez Tyra Pacheco Angel Perkins Kailey (Jax) Silvestri Mandel Vixamar
The opening reception will be held in the DCA Art Gallery on Thursday, December 12th
4:30pm – 7:00pm
This is a FREE event. Donations are welcome. The students’ artwork will be ”FOR SALE” and all monies collected go directly to the seven students to help offset the high costs of college/university study. The exhibit gives these students invaluable experience as a student run production, in which they create the invitations, advertise, prep the gallery, hang the artwork with labels, cater the event, and sell their artwork.
Please plan to come out with family and friends for a wonderful evening of art and light food & refreshments to encourage these talented students as you finalize your holiday gift giving.

I’m so happy with how our students took my storefront project to the next level. We have it all- The Heartcare Center for Broken Hearts, The Labotorama, Mutations, Psychics, Astrology, Video, and even a demented Fun House with killer clowns! .
Shout out to @robert_louthan who actually taught the storefront project while I was on leave and all the students who stepped it up. .
Thanks to @youthartx for showing these at the Youth Art Summit last weekend too!!
With 9 days left in our #youcanbethatcat campaign we are at 94% to our goal. Thank you to our community for supporting us in making sure that nearly 400 CL Smith students receive 10 art classes for the next 5 years. Spread the word, share this post, tag a friend and help us get to 100% of our goal.
On the very first inservice day before school started, I walked into my new classroom to find this huge box of crayons on one of the tables. It had 832 crayons inside with 64 assorted colors. I thought to myself, “What am I going to do with all these different crayons?” (Because yes us art teachers do more than color all day 😉). Kindergarten found out last week and should be finishing them up tomorrow!!
🕒🌿Time for children🕒🌿
More than 10 years have passed since I started learning about “Children's Art”. I have noticed while drawing and working with many children. It means that I want to spend a relaxing time with each child as much as possible.
There are many things that children discover in their daily lives, and I think that each of them will become a rough stone and help them in the future as they live. Over time, I came to think that I would be happy if I could support and support such rough stones.
Since childhood, I have had the opportunity to learn many expression methods such as modern ballet, classical ballet, jazz dance, tap dance, piano, voice training, acting instruction, English conversation, painting, and so on. I think that there will be no happiness if we can use it to help children in the future.
I would like to continue my daily learning and discovery so that I can help children acquire the wisdom and ingenuity to live in the world that flows at a tremendous speed every day. 🌿 🦦🍃 What is the place where children can spend a relaxing time?
Through observation of flowers and plants, I feel the transition of the seasons, listen to stories, read, listen to music, feel ... I am daydreaming that if there is a space where children's feelings can be freely released, they will be happy.
