A wise man once said, "Education is important, but big biceps are importanter." Today was a mix up of Chest, (of course, it's Monday) and Biceps, finishing off with cable bicep curls, and it was bloody hard work.
147.5kg Bench PB⠀
The push for 150kg is back on, and we’re still doing it fasted, because food only weighs you down from reaching the dream.⠀
The urge to hip thrust the weight up was crazy hard to resist, but I’ll plead my defense that some part of my behind was always touching the bench.⠀
Even managed to follow this up with some high rep hypertrophy with a 5 rep set on 120. I hope the powerlifting gods will let me have a pump set every once in a while.⠀
So it’s 17 hours into the fast now, and the second wave of hunger is gnawing at me. Still sticking by the task, if it was easy, everyone would be doing it!⠀

Some days you're just drained, it maybe that you got enough sleep, you're taking care of yourself but you're just exhausted! It might actually be mental exhaustion rather than physical! ⠀
But those are the days you have to try and push yourself to get that workout in. It’s sometimes not the actual workout or the results that make you feel better but getting past that mental barrier of actually going. It's the personal pride of getting through that workout, sticking to that meal plan, getting your steps in or just doing the things you have no energy for! ⠀
You did something that you didn't think you had the energy or the will to do! ⠀
That pride and sense of accomplishment will help you feel happier and more confident during the week and of course putting the time in will get you results too, not to mention the endorphins! 🙄⠀
So get yourself to do that thing you need to do! You got this! 💪🏻⠀
