Yay for Fridayyy!
This week has been tough! Teagan’s going through a separation anxiety phase. This is typical in babies her age. Just as she’s starting to realize that each object is unique and permanent, she’s also discovering that there’s only one of me. When I’m out of her sight, she knows I’m somewhere, but not with her, and this freaks her out. She has so little sense of time that she doesn’t know when—or even whether—I’m coming back.
So needless to say, it’s been extremely frustrating at times. @spencerrayfitch ‘s constant support through this time has been amazing and so helpful, so I’m super thankful for that ❤️ On another note, she has mastered sleeping in her crib!! Going on week 3 🙌
Anger. It’s such a tricky thing.
It took me years to realize what my anger was actually doing to me. I thought that I could direct my anger at someone & they’d feel the pain they caused me. I assumed that the angrier I’d get, the more people would take me seriously. I thought that expressing anger towards someone would deeply affect that person.
Acting on anger and impulse would get me into trouble & it seemed as though no matter what I did, I was the one left alone in the end with not only all the anger, but all the hurt/pain as well. I held onto a lot of childhood resentment & would carry it into my current anger at the time, building up the hostility even more.
I’ve spent a lot time reversing all of this over the last few years.
Letting go of negative emotions is tough. Learning to step away from anger is easier said than done.
Releasing resentment/anger feels like letting go of a rope you’ve been holding onto your entire life.. white knuckle grip, skin so raw it bleeds, hands so locked on the rope that it sends tension throughout your whole body....then after x amount of years, you finally let go. While you still may feel pain in your hands from that prolonged grip, it’s not as intense. Your body starts to loosen up when it realizes it’s no longer hanging on for dear life. The open wounds on your hands begin to heal. Slowly, the pain lessens & while you may be tempted to grab that rope again, every time you resist it, you find a deeper sense of grounding & letting go.
And as Mark Twain once said, “Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.” #anger#anorexiarecover#recoveryjourney#yogi#spacecoast#brevardcounty#melbourne#juiceplus#beachvibes#beachlife 🌴 #saturdaymood
💎RARE FIND! We found REAL, actual Mexican food this weekend. Double tap if you know an authentic Mexican taco from an Americanized one. 👆🏼👆🏼🌮
Hint: If it comes with lettuce, tomato, and shredded cheddar it’s prob not the real deal. Authentic Mexican usually just has cilantro & onion, sometimes radish and cotija cheese!
And wow, is this place authentic in every sense of the word. Legit felt like we’d teleported to Mexico when we walked inside. It’s located inside a Mexican mini-market and we were the only non-Spanish speakers there the entire time. The food was SO GOOD. Tasted like homemade, fresh, REAL food.
Swipe to see it all: 1️⃣ Street tacos 2️⃣ Gorditas (very diff from the Taco Bell kind😅) 3️⃣ Quesadilla plate (got this for the kids to split cause we thought it’d be pretty basic. Wrong. Never tasted one this good before.)
If you’re not afraid of “no frills” dining and craving cheap+authentic Mexican, La Placita in Cocoa is your spot🌮
