  • What’s it like waking up and working in your bus everyday? 🚌
.
It’s like Christmas morning 🥳
.
We have been living in Sunny for almost a month now. Many people are asking us what our plan is, and until recently we didn’t have one! We have been staying in one campsite at the Sunny Coast where we and my family are based to wait out the end of the year and catch up on some work. We didn’t see the point in leaving before Christmas as we wanted to spend the time with our family and friends 🥰
.
But the very exciting news is that our first destination will be Tasmania! 🌲⛰ We will be heading down through NSW and VIC at the end of January to catch our booker ferry to Tassie on the 22nd Feb. We can’t wait to finally start adventuring in this big beautiful bus of ours, and we’re stoked to bring you all along with us via our page 🥰
.
So many people ask us what we do for work: I (Samantha) am the founder of @my_pupper - I have my Mum making all of our accessories and I’m currently working on a new side project 🤫 and Tom is running his own Business where he is helping other Entrepreneurs and Companies to reach their monthly revenue goals by helping them to improve certain aspects of their products/services. Basically, he helps people grow their Businesses so they can live the life they want.
.
All in all - were pretty bloody happy with what we do and so thankful to wake up every day and work by each other’s side 🥰
.
Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life 💕

  • Our ceiling is painted!!! On a gloomy day like today, the bus felt almost cave-like, even with all its windows (the fog certainly doesn’t help). And although it’s a bit harder to tell from this angle, we went with a clean white for our ceiling and it’s already so much brighter in the bus!
..
We’ve decided we’re also going to paint our “runners” above the windows white and then add a sealed wood trim board across the ceiling ribs to his the screw heads. We can’t wait to see this interior continue to transform!
..
But now we’re going to take a break from painting and start building our pantry area, so stay tuned!
..
And remember, every day is Taco Tuesday!

  • Ole Capt. Ron is back from the shop with a clean bill of health. I thought it might be a worthwhile investment to have it looked over by a professional before I started doing any major work. I spent around $350 for a “DOT inspection”. They went through all of the major systems and some of the minor systems, answered some questions I had and gave me a good peace of mind knowing that the bus will be safe for the foreseeable future. Definitely worth it if you are looking to convert. Have a professional look at your rig! #busconversion #schoolie #schoolbus #schoolbusconversion #busbuild #tinyhome #ontheroad #vanclans #tinyhometours

  • “Holiday decor makes me so happy. It really ups the cozy levels in any space! I love that it only takes a small box of decorations to make a big impact in a tiny home. 🎄 We weren’t able to pick up a large wreath in NH this year (the car was packed full), but I will plan to do a trip to a tree farm and grab a couple for the camper exterior soon! Hoping to make the outside feel as magical as the inside ✨

  • What a magical place ✨
.
We had no idea what was around the corner or where it would lead us but we didn’t need to know 😍
.
Well maybe kind of because we normally don’t find ourselves in sticky situations but trying to ‘crack a u turn’ in our Nelly ain’t as easy on these roads! 😅
.
Have you ever got yourself in trouble taking the scenic route?

  • It's been a while since we posted. We've been busy here in Utah with another conversion. Catch it out in our stories, but for now here is a photo of our living room/dinning room/kitchen. What do you think? What is a must have for you in your own space?

Let’s just say my judgement on how steep a hill is and how much room I THINK I have is less than what I actually have. I haven’t really been frazzled driving Atticus yet. Intimidated yes, but usually I just put my big girl pants on and do what I need to do. This kind of freaked me out a bit. Mainly because I didn’t want to hurt anyone or damage anything. The bus is a beast, it would handle running into something I’m sure (omg not that tree!!) But people were coming over the hill really fast, so I thought it was safer to wait and then by the time Tony got there I was like “ can you please just get this out for me.” Good lord that was both embarrassing, humbling, and now entertaining. Driving a bus is no joke. It’s definitely not a Ford Focus that’s for dang sure! .
.
Thank you again to Tony and Dave @historicfix for once again saving my a$$! 🙌🏻🚌📷

  • ✨DAY 6 - On the home stretch ✨
Wongan Hills to Carnarvon - 855km
A very straight forward drive today! Not a whole heap of random stuff on the side of the road to get photos with unlike NSW/SA! 😂
But we stopped in Geraldton and it was absolutely beautiful 😍
The water was an indication of what we were in for and the excitement levels were sky high! It was starting to feel real and we knew we would be driving into our new hometown today 🙌🏼🙌🏼
We got some work shoes and hit the last BCF on the way to hook ourselves up with some new fishing gear and some cooling towels to get us through 🎣
We got the beautiful sea breeze most of the way and some spectacular landscapes 💨
Stopped in at Carnarvon where I booked the wrong night stay 😣 you think I’d know better right being a receptionist on the other end for the last 12 months 😂
But a WA beer and amazing Schitty at the Carnarvon Hotel made up for it all 🤤
On the home stretch today, 4 hours to go to Exmouth and we are still tossing up whether to get the unpacking done today or head to Turquoise bay for the night 🤔
Our new managers text us last night, they said our Chalet was waiting for us 😍
We will keep you updated 🚌🚌 #thisislivingbaz #bazthebus #buslife #vanlife #roadtrip #homeiswhereyouparkit #memories #experiences #exmouth #westernaustralia #tinyliving #busconversion #experience #lifeofshi #travel #doitwhileyouryoung #bus #coaster #homeonwheels #campervan #wanderlust #carnarvon #wikicamps #exploreWA #geraldton #westernaustraliauncovered

  • Do you ever go through your photos and realize how much fun you had during a certain season? 😭 I’m currently remembering what an awesome summer we had🙌🏻 Sometimes life is really fun in hindsight.... ya know? Cause real time is so full of all the small hiccups and real stuff like feeding people and cleaning and dogs and crap that breaks the flow but hindsight makes it all seem so much better 😂 #yep #camping thanks to @beertoothbus , friends and my awesome Lil tribe. 😍🙏🏻 #tbt #family #adventures #glamping #busconversion @blackhillshandyman

  • I am finding so much joy in this perfect little Christmas tree!

We are going through some harder times right now. It could be worse, but our hearts are heavy as we navigate some things.
But despite it, we are so joyful for the beauty of this season. Y'all, Christ was born into this world and understands the pain we endure while on the Earth, and He loves us so much. You can't get more beautiful than that.

  • Who am I, and what is this all about... Buckle up!

My name is Jonathan, I’m 25, and I’ve always been a pretty unconventional dude

Growing up in St. Louis, my idea of a good time was jumping down stairs on my skateboard or spending school nights snowboarding in the slush until 3am

After graduating high school my group of friends spread out across the country. We are still very close, which I am forever grateful for! I chose to go to Bradley University, a tiny liberal arts college in the midwest where I knew absolutely nobody. I wasn’t sure of this decision at first, but it was one of best decisions I’ve ever made!

As a college student I did a lot of things I never thought I’d do. I joined a fraternity. I served as president for multiple clubs on campus. I interned with Caterpillar Inc. I planned some of the largest campus events in history. I sold $250,000 in t-shirts. And I even spent a semester in Los Angeles working for Snapchat. The hustle was real!

I graduated from Bradley University in 2017, moved to Cleveland, and starting working full time with @universitytees as a Business Development Leader. I love my job and it challenges me every day 👕

In 2018 I expressed interest in taking my job on the road and traveling full-time. After months of planning, I set off on a 6-week “test run” in January 2019 that would ultimately decide my ability to work remotely and still perform at a high level

During this crazy 5,000 mile road trip I crossed 11 states, spent time with students on 8 campuses I supervise, went snowboarding every weekend, and celebrated my birthday in Los Angeles with friends from all stages of life. Then I sold my car and flew home!

Believe it or not, while on the road the team of students I supervise put up some of the highest sales numbers we’ve ever had! We carried that momentum the rest of the spring semester and my dreams really started taking shape

With the money I made selling my car, I bought a school bus!

I have some BIG plans for this bus, which will soon become home for Skye and I 🐶

Stay tuned, because tomorrow you’ll get to know more about Skye, our relationship, and our future skoolie!

  • This is not a recent photo as I am currently writing this in my sweatpants and oversized hoodie as I feel terrible and tired today. I wanted to do a throw back picture since I really want to give this guy a HUGE shoutout for taking care of me, our family and our home bus, Alex. Who takes care of you when you aren’t having a great day? ✨

  • The royal throne aka our @naturesheadtoilet
This crapper cost us a pretty penny but after 8 months of putting it to the test, we are really glad we made the investment.

Highly recommend it, also highly recommend very closely monitoring the pee bucket. 🤪 side note: Potty training should be pretty interesting.

from everything I’ve read and watched, an air chisel was the way to go for removing rivets and I can definitely say everyone was right. Never in my life did I think I would be so excited for a power tool
