So Quito isn't a place you hear about a lot on Instagram (and that's a shame because it's one of my favorite cities ever!). The weather is cool year round, ⛅there are 16th century churches (like this one), and you can take a cable car to the top of a mountain 🗻 and get epic views!

The food here is bomb as well (arepas, empanadas, mmm 🤤). Flights from the US are usually in the $800 range, and there's so much to do in the surrounding areas. 🌎 Also it is very safe and easily walkable!

Nono un pueblo mágico del Ecuador 🇪🇨 certificado ... a 1 hora de viaje en bus desde Cotocollao al norte de Quito se encuentra este hermoso pueblo con casas 🏠 antiguas de adobe y rodeado dé montañas ⛰ verdes .....junto con @ecuadorysuspaisajesoficial visitamos #nono quedamos maravillados .....

Во второй наш мини-поход мы допустили ту же ошибку, что и в первый. Мы не посмотрели, что дорога идёт всё время вверх!

Мы вышли с высоты 3320м, а закончить должны были на высоте 4385м. Обе точки выходят на дорогу, по которой ходят автобусы. Длина всего 19 км. То есть если не подъем и не наши тяжеленные рюкзаки, то можно пройти и за день.

Маршрут - потрясающий! Там куча озёр и горы-горы-горы!

В итоге, мы прошли 11 км туда по дороге для машин с подъёмом 735м. Шли с парой ночёвок в очень красивых местах. Переночевали ночь на высоте 4055м.

На этом месте хорошая дорога закончилась, впереди шли тропинка, покрытая грязью... Оставалось 8 км с подъёмом 330м. Мы подумали, ещё раз подумали и снова ии пошли обратно! Решили, что нам быстрее спуститься 11 км, чем вот это вот.

Так, за вчерашний день мы прошли 11 км обратно. Вымокли под дождём кошмарно. У меня мокрая была абсолютно вся одежда. Даже белье!! Несмотря на то, что у меня был дождевик, я поверила в свою "непромокаемую" ветровку и в спортивные лосины, но, видимо, очень напрасно. А когда все намокло, то было поздно.

Меня всю дорогу грела только одна мысль, что впереди термальные источники. Так что сегодня мы ВЕСЬ ДЕНЬ отмокаем и греемся!

📍Маршрут по национальному парку Cayambe-Coca. И идти его определённо надо сверху вниз 🙂
