Barzabai, the Kazakh eagle hunter.
What we’ve in common: we're the same age, 26.
What is different: while he’s living in the outdoors surrounded by family, incredible nature and animals, I’m sitting more than 60% of my time in front of a screen. A pretty basic comparison, but it made me think. 👨🏻💻
First time shooting a vintage lens, the soviet classic Helios 44-2, on my mirrorless system. It’s definitely a learning curve but the images out of this metal and glass are stunning. The signature bokeh is just a teaser on what’s to come.

I want all my Monday’s to feel like this please. Wait .... is it even Monday? I’m lost in the toddler years where a day is a year 😂 Book today so I can go hang out with some adults 🙌🏻 #christinaamidonphotography
Two years ago today I was in Pearson Airport waiting for my flight to board from Toronto to Cancun. I wasn’t excited, I was anxious🤮
I booked the flight at a cross roads - it had been a year of being self employed and for all intents and purposes I was very much struggling, but at the same time loving it. I had a few projects on the go, a couple of clients, but I could also sense that winter was coming (in more ways than one)🥶 So, I did the only thing I know to do when I’m in a jam, and I booked a flight to Mexico. The plan? I figured I could hangout in Tulum and work for my clients until the spring when I would make my return to Toronto and resume the entrepreneurial grind⚰️ I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I also knew that it was time to go all in and fully commit.
In this past two years, I learned a lot of things and figured I’d share some of them with you today 💎💎💎 #1 The most important story you’ll ever tell is the one you tell yourself, about yourself. So monitor that negative self talk. 👀
#2 You’re braver than you think. If you have done a sufficient amount of prep and research, and your gut says you can, then you should. Stop talking and start doing. 💪🏾 #3 There’s no honour in living a life less than you deserve. We each have something special that we bring to the world and it’s our responsibility to find out what it is and do our best to manifest it.
#4 Failure is 100% necessary but it’s not fatal. You can try anything you want in life and guess what, nobody actually gives a f@ck, so don’t let others opinions stop you from doing you boo 😂🖕🏾🖕🏾
When I began my day at 5am as I stumbled from the house in the hope of capturing the sunrise, I was full of optimism that was quickly shattered as the clouds rolled in and suffocated any chances. And after that, and the glum morning that followed, I certainly didn't expect to have the opportunity to be stood in my new favourite spot taking photos of another wonderful #sunset . If there's one thing I've learned here in #prague , it's that you have to grab the opportunity when it comes #avagabondscrapbook#czechrepublic
Hiking around the Eibsee in Bavaria located at the base of the Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain peak. 🥾
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss Germany. I miss these beautiful mountains, the ease of travel, and the convenience of European public transportation systems.
Germany will always hold a special place in my heart. 💛

Getting in those last few flights in before these colour tones disappear. I can’t wait for snow to get those top down shots, that’s if the UK gets some anytime soon 😂 shot on @djiglobal Mavic 2 Pro.
7am. On a beach. Barely wearing any clothes. With coffee and my amazing husband. If you know me, you know this is an ideal perfect situation.
This photo was taken 8 months ago but I can still feel the sun, the fine sand, and taste of coffee.
Reflecting on this year, I feel so much gratitude for this life of mine. So grateful. So blessed. 🌴
