  • Well, if you should know, I thought it was only appropriate to dress up for the Shinto god of RICE: Inari. This thousand torii gate shrine is dedicated to him after all and he does—without fail—make every meal happy. (Sinigang, especially)

  • This is a couple of obvious shots from Fushimi Inari-Taisha just to give you the sense of it. It is a path going up to the summit of Mount Inari - a sacred mountain. The path has a lot of gates with occasional burials and shrines. Later I’ll post what I saw in it.

  • Got one of the most typical pictured in Japan 🇯🇵
Fushimi Inari Taisha is Kyoto’s most important shrine and is dedicated to the Shinto god of rice.
It has more than 10000 torii orange gates donated by individuals and companies to get good luck. Such an hypnotical walk .
⠀⠀
Founded in 711, it is one of the most impressive and memorable sites in all of Japan
What monument in the world would you like to visit?

  • Day #13 in Japan with @caitlynamberrr, @vinceychan, @raphaeldalmeida and @supermaria01
-
It's our second last day in Japan. Today we travelled back to Osaka and checked into our final accommodation for the trip. Once we dropped our bags off we went and explored a little. Caitlyn and I went and checked out the Osaka Pokemon Centre and managed to get into the Pokemon Cafe for some lovely Pokemon treats 😋 we then did some more exploring and stumbked into a Japanese sex shop, which was an interesting experience 😂 After looking through a few shops we decided to look for dinner. Found a really nice pasta place for dinner which didn't break the bank 😅 Once we ate till our hearts content we all ventured back to the accommodation to call it a day. Caitlyn and I found some more Pokemon bath bombs so we bought a large and small one. We got another Pikachu but we also got a Charizard

  • What do you do when you realize .5 miles up a mountain that you may not have the energy later in the day to run? You run your mile up and down the mountain in @rothys with your kids to help them burn some energy: 😂🤷🏻‍♀️. We had a wonderful last full day in Kyoto and fit in as much as we could. Fushimi Inari Taisha, the Golden Pavilion, Ryoanji Temple and Rock garden (best autumn leaves we found in Kyoto), Kiyomizu-dera at sunset, and dinner out. Whew I am tired just typing that out. 🤣 Long story short, if you are thinking of making the trip to Japan, Kyoto is a little slice of heaven that is not to be missed.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!!

  • The Fushimi-Inari-Taisha Shrine is not to be missed, but pro-tip, get there insanely early to avoid crowds. We managed to make it there by 7:30 and avoided all but maybe 60 people who were scattered along the path. By the time we summited and made our way to the exit at 9:15 am, there were so many people you could barely walk back to the train station. 🤯 Definitely a beautiful way to start the day.

  • No trip to Japan could be complete without experiencing the magical Fushimi Inari shrine, a thousand bright orange gates. Early rise as need to get there before 7.30ish to beat the crowds which are as many as the gates 😂

  • 🇯🇵JAPON ~>📍KYOTO🇯🇵
🦊Fushimi Inari-taisha🦊
(Sanctuaire shinto)⛩
