It’s only natural to compare ourselves to others and at times this may help us to reach our goals; by identifying why someone else is succeeding we could use that as inspiration, learn from it and apply it to ourselves. However when we use comparison in a way that makes us feel bad or inhibits our own personal ambitions and development it doesn’t serve us in any way.

Remember the only person we should really be comparing our progress to is ourselves because everyone starts at different times, in different circumstances and with different aims.

Fitness should be something that enhances our life, supports our overall wellbeing and enables us to be the best version of ourselves, both mentally and physically ❤️

So take it all in! All the good and the bad, it’s all meant to help you achieve your fullest potential. Not everything will be perfect. And that’s just how it is! In your case, you may never be the type of person that doesn't eat the entire box of cookies. You can either beat yourself up about that, OR you can employ a few strategies. Its much better to:⁣

-Only eat them when you're out of the house and only buy ONE serving⁣
-Or find a healthier minimally processed recipe and make them yourself. ⁣

  • ( sorry guys didn’t like the other pic lol) I am feeling really strong this morning so hence the pic 💪💪💪. I know I still have a long way to go for example I still don’t have abs and my stomach is still big but I am celebrating my small progress and using these images to motivate myself. I didn’t take a before and after pic but I am starting again from this body. Very big confidence and progress from the beginning of this year since I never ever show my arms or any part of my stomach this is a first. I hope it motivates others to prioritize their health. 📅 Op 4 september na het bodybuilding against cancer evenement contacteerde ik ‘Miro’ himself via Instagram voor een kennismakingsgesprek. Na 6 maanden coaching zou ik een van mijn laatste check up gesprekken hebben wat plotseling een sollicitatie bleek te zijn. Hier maakte ik ook kennis met de heer @rickyfrissen , maar dat verhaal bespreek ik wel een andere keer.🤪

🤓Na 6 maanden zelf coach te zijn voor het team heb ik inzicht gekregen in waarom onze coaching zo waardevol kan zijn. Voor ik Miro had leren kennen, was coaching een droom.💭Een passie die voor mij onbereikbaar leek omdat ik twijfelde over mijn ervaring, mijn kennis en over het feit dat ik wel een goede coach zou zijn.🤔

✍🏼Hij heeft mij voornamelijk laten inzien welke capaciteiten ik heb. Het klinkt cliché, maar hij stelde mij confronterende vragen zoals: waar zie jij jezelf over 1 jaar? Welke dromen heb je? Wat doe je nu echt om deze waar te maken? Na deze vragen werd ik angstig, schrik om stappen te zetten waar onzekerheid een grote rol speelt. 😅Tijdens een gesprek over deze angsten kwam de vraag en ik citeer:’ Als het faalt, sta je dan echt op straat? En mocht je dan op straat staan, als jij je telefoon neemt kan je dan nergens naar toe?’ Mijn antwoord was natuurlijk ja klopt en meteen antwoordde hij: ‘waarom onderneem je dan geen acties om dit te verwezenlijken?’ Wat ik eigenlijk wil zeggen is dat Miro mij vooral heeft laten inzien waartoe ik zelf in staat ben. Wie weet wat de toekomst nog brengen zal…🤫
