After some joint injuries, there was a period of time during which I couldn't do handstands. It must have been at least a year or two. I'm just now getting back to them and it's a lot harder than it used to be. I'm being patient with my body and not going too hard all at once. I'm working my way back up to where I used to be, at a pace that's safe and honors my body's needs.⁣

If someone's new to meditating, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to immediately try to start meditating for three hours a day.⁣

If someone's new to running, it wouldn't be sustainable/safe to immediately try to run four miles a day.⁣
⁣
⁣
Sometimes our minds and/or bodies are tired, injured, or not used to something. Sometimes our minds/bodies need to rest or slow down. In any case, gradual changes are generally going to be the most sustainable, in non-urgent situations. That's one of the things I help folks with, in my R U READY? framework. This framework emphasizes consistency in gradual change, so we can get to our ideal lives in a sustainable way.⁣

Here’s to the one that’s been with me from the very beginning! 🥂

171lbs to 125lbs

I cannot get over this transformation after 4 babies, and all of them were c-sections, and NOW TO THIS!
We aren’t even close to done yet!
🥰
Now it’s time to put on some lean muscle, up those calories, and getting her strong!

Less is more, and she will tell you just that!  Currently eating 1750 calories 💪🏼 So proud! She is a lash artist, has 4 children, married, has to be out of town a lot, and always on the go!
Keep it simple people, all it really takes is your dedication!!!

  • Unfortunately, my lower back is not able to keep my legs in this position. For this pic with speed only for a rund second. I had an appendix operation in 1996, but three years ago my body  suffers from accumulations and nodules in my connective tissue. It's hard to accept not to master all tricks or ordinary movements during the day, e.g. put on socks on standing. I am sure I will never be able to "kiss" my knees with straight legs. Never again! Anyway, I try to avoid painkillers every day and I'm happy that some persons realised the seriousness of the situation with my appendix on my second birthday. I survived and I live every day as it would be the last one! But so what, I am over 40 years old and one of the oldest active female cycling artists in the world ... .

Diese Aufnahme ist leider etwas gefaked. Mein unterer Rücken ist nämlich nicht mehr in der Lage, meine Beine hochzuhalten (am Bootssteg konnte ich jedoch viiiel Schwung holen). Ich werde auch nie wieder in der Lage sein, mit meiner Nase meine Knie bei gesteckten Beinen zu berühren. Ursache sind seit drei Jahren Folgeschäden einer OP, die ich bereits 1996 hatte. Mein Körper scheint inzwischen sehr vernarbt und verklebt zu sein, so die vielen Experten. Ich versuche zu akzeptieren, dass ich nicht mehr alle Übungen bzw. Tricks machen kann. Oft ist es auch eine Kopfsache, da ich weiß, wie sehr mein Körper nach einem kleinen Sturz vor Schmerzen dröhnt. Also belasse ich es dabei und fahre nur noch sichere Übungen. Immerhin muss ich nicht mehr täglich Schmerzmittel nehmen und übe täglich im Stehen Socken anzuziehen. Nicht einfach! Aber ich bin froh, dass damals einige Personen den Ernst der Lage sahen, sonst säße ich jetzt nicht mehr hier. Und genieße jeden Tag, als wäre es der letzte! Aber mein Gott, mit Anfang 40 bin ich weltweit einer der ältesten Frauen, die diesen Sport noch aktiv betreiben. So what ... 😊

  • Я восхищаюсь женщинами, которые однажды перестают рыдать и учиняют какое-нибудь «безобразие»: меняют работу, заводят нового любовника, принципиально «отличного от других», уезжают к черту на кулички или наращивают себе сиськи, не важно, главное – меняются. И в этой связи опять-таки забавляет реакция окружающих. Вы удивитесь, но далеко не все приходят в восторг от того, что бедняжка больше не плачет. Такое поле для деятельности пропало, ее же можно было утешать, опекать, презирать, а теперь что? Поначалу будут спрашивать: «Ты счастлива? Уверена? Это именно то, что ты хотела? Может быть, ошибаешься?» А потом, если она станет упорствовать в своем счастье, люди ее осудят за то, что предала свое прошлое.
