For your upcoming Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving celebration. I like putting up a garland because it’s fun and this printable one I made a couple years ago is my favorite and probably the one I’ll use this year. Link in profile for the free download!
A comprehensive list of people whose recipes I trust:
2) My colleague and friend @sweetsaura. Who wrote a truly awesome cookbook called “Easy As Pie” that comes out today! I was lucky enough to get a copy in advance and am already 3 pies deep. This book has every pie you could think of, and many you wouldn’t think of, done well and done easy.
Here’s the Toasted S’mores Icebox Pie 🔥 which took maybe 20 minutes to prep, and less time to eat.
I said I wasn’t going to add any Christmas-y decor until after thanksgiving but I caved and decorated our kitchen. It’s still pretty subtle though and oh so so so cozy at night with the twinkle lights! I put the whole (and very easy) process in stories if you’re interested.

I just realized one of my favorite autumn patio dinners would be the perfect accompaniment to turkey and mashed potatoes - making it a fabulous Thanksgiving side dish!
It's a multi-layered blend of flavors with sweet autumn pears, figs and delicata squash grilled alongside bitter radicchio and broccoli rabe then laid atop a bed of sturdy greens. Salty grilled halloumi and oil-cured olives join the party before being drizzled with a zippy herbaceous dressing.
AND you can cook it all on the grill, freeing up your already over crowded Thanksgiving oven!
~The addition of halloumi elevates this to a main course but feel free to leave it out if you're making this as a side, or to make it vegan.
Serves 2 as a generous main course or 4 - 6 as a side.
A few handfuls of a mix of sturdy greens, like baby mustard, frisee, mache, kale and spinach.
1 delicata squash, halved, seeds removed and sliced into half moons
1 bunch broccoli rabe or broccalini, dry ends removed
1 head radicchio, quartered
1 red pear, cored and sliced
6 figs, halved
4 oz halloumi ~ if using
Small handful of oil-cured olives
High heat oil for grilling, such as avocado or grapeseed.
~Make the Fresh Herb Dressing first - recipe in comments.
~Scatter the greens over a platter and drizzle with a little of the dressing. Set aside.
~Coat the squash, broccoli rabe, radicchio, pear and figs in a very light coat of oil and grill over a low flame until each is lightly cooked and has grill marks. If you prefer, use an outdoor grill pan to keep them from slipping through the grate. The figs and pear slices will only need a minute or so to cook, the radicchio and broccoli rabe about 3 - 4 minutes per side but the squash should be cooked on a grill pan for about 8 - 10 minutes per side to ensure they're fully cooked. They should be easily pierced with a fork when done. Alternatively you can roast them in a 425° oven for 20 - 25 minutes.
~Slice the halloumi into 1/2 inch slabs, coat with oil and grill for about 2 - 3 minutes per side, until grill marks appear and it's warm and soft.
~Scatter the grilled veggies, fruit, halloumi and olives over the greens, drizzle with dressing. #lettuceflourish
H O M E // Clean + simple holiday decor on this wall of the kitchen. I’ve probably gone through 15 tile samples and can’t make up my mind. I see how a tile looks online and then I hold it up in our kitchen and I don’t like it. I want the backsplash to be a look that fades in the background and doesn’t scream for attention. Do I make any sense? Also.... Zach spilled hot sauce on my new rug. Living with boys is fun🥴🥴 this is why I bought a washable rug.
slow cooked meats are *so* versatile & this @famille_fontaine pulled soy, ginger, garlic + sesame veal is no exception! perfect for a simple veal carnitas taco or dressed up in nachos. not just any nachos though, fried wonton asian nachos! find both recipes at the link in profile 🧀🍅🥑🌮 #FontaineFamily_partner#FontaineFamily

Who here collects Christmas villages? Tell me all about it 🥰 I love ours that my son and I started 10 years ago buying pieces from @loweshomeimprovement. It always sits on the foyer table each year to enjoy 😁 I’ll be installing it today and can’t wait to see it all lit up 🏡 For a full Christmas home tour head to PORCHDAYDREAMER.COM. .
Hummus is a staple in my kitchen. It’s super nutritious, packed with plant based protein and perfect for dipping, shmearing and enjoying with any meal. For me, a day without hummus is an incomplete day!
Simply delicious things on toast are happening just in time for the holidays and I’ve partnered with @SabraCanada to “hummus” toast to the holidays.
To make these Sabra classic hummus toasts with crispy honey roasted carrots and savoury dukkah, your first step is to spread this delicious creamy hummus on toasted sourdough or flatbread. This is your canvas and now the sky is the limit and the toppings are endless. I’ve topped my toasts with savoury dukkah crumble - think savoury granola (DM me if you want the recipe), smoked honey roasted carrot ribbons and pomegranate arils.
For really easy entertaining, prepare all the components in advance and then it’s a snap to put these festive toasts together.
Sabra products, including new Hummus Toast (with Everything Bagel Seasoning) and Avocado Toast (Avocado Spread with Crispy Whole Grain Toast) are gluten-free, vegetarian/vegan and kosher. They can be found in major grocery stores and mass retailers.
I love trees in my decor so this time of year is just the best! I can have as many trees as I want and it’s ok!
🌲I have to keep my chalkboards simple because I am no chalk artist so I just decided on a few trees. What do you think? Leave the trees or try something else?
🔔 Do you see that vintage bell? I snagged that from Michaela @mrs.sweet.as.honey.shop ! I love all the rusty goodness! •
🕯 I finished off this look with this @antiquecandleco_ Momma’s Kitchen in the little blue jar! It smells amazing!

🕯 I had a very successful weekend of Christmas decorating, getting some festive decor into every room, plus started on my front and side porches. We have some warmer weather today and the snow is melting, so I will be getting my urns done with fresh greenery this week. I'm looking forward to sharing the views with you in the coming weeks!
I have been tweaking and moving items around in this room for a few days now, but finally I am satisfied enough to show it to you, and to begin one of my favorite evening activities of this season. It is simply to take a little time to sit in the glow of the fireplace and candles, and the sparkly Christmas tree lights. Ever since I was very young, this was a perfect scenario to bring on all the cozy gingerbread feelings, and it still is magical for me! ·

A Santa Mug walks into a Cocoa Bar... and he just decides to hang there for a while. 🎅🏼 ya get it?! I made that joke up myself... I’m sure you can tell 😂 Can we still be friends after I tell bad jokes & show you how I store my Christmas tree in a half broken tub wrapped in a duct taped beach towel? Let’s ho ho hope so... andddd done.
This year’s vintage pastel tree! I added a few more pink ornaments and switched the tree to a bigger one. I’d say it’s my favorite tree, but then I say that about all my trees, soooo... how about, “it is one of my favorites”🎄 I’m currently on the hunt for some pink fabric to add onto the tree skirt .
But heyyyyy I managed to get this Wild Rice Stuffing with Roasted Squash and Sweet & Sour Onions posted for your Thanksgiving. It only took me three years! Aaaand it just happens to be vegan and gluten free. Link👏🏼in👏🏼bio👏🏼 Idk how I feel about these super styled photos in my feed but ~the algorithm~ seems to like them. 🤷🏻♀️ Doesn’t matter much to me, but I do like when it shows you my stuff so you comment and we get to talk! So there is also how I actually ate it, all piled up in a bowl with an egg on top. Similar to how my hair is piled up on my head in a top knot. Messy but idk also kinda cute but mostly just kinda lazy.😏
