  • 2020 is the year creatives rise. It’s unfortunate to see creative teams be some of the most underrated in most organizations. Why? Because artists have a hard time quantifying what it is they do in business terms (yet provide some of the most necessary tools for businesses to grow (or am I wrong?! hah) 🧐). -

Join @sonyalpha and I this Saturday the 14th to learn a bit about bridging the gap between business and creative in our class, Business of Photography 101. Link on story! (And bio)(Two class sessions). -

Let’s all win 🏆

  • Was helping out my friend for a photoshoot and not gonna lie I was iffy about putting on makeup for this shoot but after some convincing I was like whatever. But I had the opportunity to edit the raws and the before and afters turned out nice.

  • 🏳️ Sandy's Kingdom [[2012]]⁣
⁣
If you lived in the New York metropolitan area in 2012, you probably have a Sandy story. Superstorm Sandy was a mess. I got out of work early and went down to the shore to check out the approaching storm. The winds were unbearable and the area was desolate. I didn't stay long as it was getting too extreme and went back home. We lost power, and it remained that way for a week. I hunkered down while my family tried to find a place we could stay. As time went on the damage from the storm became more apparent and you could almost see society starting to collapse... At least it felt like that.⁣
⁣
My brother went to school in Hoboken and it needed to shut down as the blackout carried on. I was the only one in my family who had a full tank of gas, so I drove up to save him. Along the way, I could see cars abandoned on the side of the road, empty streets, flooding, and the National Guard zipping here and there. I arrived in Hoboken at night and it was like a scene out of a post-apocalyptic movie. It was just chaos, confusion, and darkness. At his school, I stopped to take this picture a half-lit Manhattan and an incomplete World Trade Center. ⁣
⁣
***For the remainder of December I am getting lost in the past and sharing three of my best/favorite photos from each year in the 2010s. Because I have a lot of other photos, I will be sharing more memories from this decade in my Stories and on Twitter until we reach 2020.***
