Did my *allowed* 15 minutes on the treadmill and a bit of arms... nothing like properly training but gets the blood moving. Probably did a bit too much walking around Exeter today but we life and learn 🥴

Happy Friday friends! I hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend!! This past week with the stress of finals and everything else going on, it really got me to thinking about this past year... the good, the bad, the hurt, the joy, and everything in between! A lot has happened this year and it definitely hasn’t been how I expected it! A couple of things that I learned is that adulting is hard, self care is SO important, friends can break your heart, it’s important to choose people who choose you and love can conquer all! I plan on going more in-depth about my reflection of 2019 soon! What has 2019 taught you guys?! 💕

    Happy Friday friends! I hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend!! This past week with the stress of finals and everything else going on, it really got me to thinking about this past year... the good, the bad, the hurt, the joy, and everything in between!   • So after 3 days off from the gym I’m finally back at it!💃🏼

I’ve been dealing with the worst cold/flu plus completing uni coursework for deadlines before Christmas 🤧😫

I’m still not fully 100% so took it easy weight wise, while I’m still regaining my strength from being ill .
Hopefully I can get back to it and start working towards some PBs in the new year 💪🏻

  • Fam, two leg days in the same week?! Fun fact, your biggest muscle groups can actually recover within 48hrs. So if you want to double up on your workouts, space the days accordingly and try it out! Also, first time doing sumo deadlifts! Crazy how my legs tapped out but switching to a conventional stance, I could keep going!

How many of us can say that we know the rancher that helped to create the food on our plate? My answer: not enough. .

We are living in a world of industrialized farming that creates disparity between the quantity and quality of our food. We may produce more meat as a result of CAFO’s (concentrated animal feeding operations), but can we really say we are doing so while benefiting the planet? Definitely not. .

Some of the reasons I prioritize grass-fed, organic meats are… 
0.CAFO’s produce immense amounts of toxic waste that filter into nearby lakes, streams, and groundwater. This toxic waste is full of pathogens, antibiotics, industrial chemicals (used as additives to manure), and much more. 
0.Supporting local business, thus - local ranchers - is a beneficial way to impact the economy. The life of a rancher is intense - and those who work hard to create high-quality product deserve to be rewarded. Their daily life is certainly more laborious than scrolling through Instagram… so we should probably chew on that. 
0.The nutrient content of grass-fed meats is higher than it’s conventionally raised counterparts. Several studies suggest that grass-based diets elevate precursors for Vitamin A and E, as well as cancer fighting antioxidants such as glutathione (GT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity as compared to grain-fed contemporaries.

Eventually, certain exercises will help tone the muscles, which will become visible when the excess fat is gone.
