‘Tales from the Amazon - an Ayuhuasca Story; Part 2’ is live!
Follow the link in my bio ☝🏽 Here I cover Ceremony 2 & 3... things were starting to get a little strange by this point, yet none if it could have prepared me for Ceremony 4 😬
I’ll be sharing the last chapter of my story on Sunday evening. It’s going to take all my strength and creativity to attempt conveying this experience 😮. I’m so blessed by the wisdom so many of you share with me via this platform. I often spend days thinking about a particular phrase or the knowledge posted in these comments. So thank you, and please continue, because I cannot wait to hear some of your insights when this tale closes!
I *never* want to stop listening & learning from this global family we’ve created ♡ how curious that technology, the supposed destruction of humanity, has created such a craved and beautiful sense of community. #Ayahuasca#PlantMedicine#TheAmazon#Peru
Sacrifice has been the theme of my account this week. So here is one last big sacrifice I am making for my Montessori goals.
I am a child of sound systems. My parents bonded over music, my Dad even had a sound system! I love speaker boxes, bass and subwoofers. I grew up in a home full of music - reggae, soul, rare groove, ska, R&B, early rave, jungle, soca, pop.
I love to go out to dances. Big people dance, drum and bass dance, old school dance, even Tudor dances (I have a video of me dancing in one of the nearby villages). My spot is right in front of the speaker boxes. As long as I can feel that bass, I cam dance all night.
Here I am going to @kiezagram birthday bash in August. I knew in my heart this would be the last rave I went to for some time. I had festival tickets that have sat in the drawer because I chose to sacrifice the time I gave to this for my Montessori goals.
Sacrifice is about giving something up, for a period, in recognition of a long term goal. This is a sacrifice of something I absolutely love in preparation for something else that I also happen to love. Believe me when this period is over and I am back in my first dance, I am going to enjoy it just that not more knowing I fulfilled another goal.
While I often introduce butterflies to guests as creatures that wait for the sun to warm things up before getting active, there are always #exceptions because of the sheer number of species involved.
As #evolution progressed, some butterflies shifted from day activity to night.
Could it be to avoid #competition during the day?
Could it be to avoid #predation (more birds are active during day)? Could it be it’s food source availability at night?
Not sure why, but it is what it is.
