  • Arghhh soooo tired .. The stress I've put my body through is catching up with me. I've had 2-3 days now where I've slept about 2 hours longer in the morning and had a snooze during daytime 👀 It's incredible how long our bodies allow us to push through challenging times. Eventually however, we need to snap out of the stress, reset and find peace. It's damaging for the body to live in a state of stress. When you notice a behaviour different to your normal pattern;
1) Listen to what your body is trying to tell you. Does it need rest? Food? Sleep? Water? People? Our body is continuously communicating with us and so learning how to listen to your body is essential to unleash your optimal wellness-potential.
2) Give your body what it wants - without letting go completely. If you need to sleep, then sleep, but set an alarm and get back up so that you're able to fall sleep again at night time and continue your normal sleeping pattern. 3) Reflect on why your body wants what it wants. Did you forget to drink water this week? Ok, that happened, alright, how can you remember to drink more water next week?
Despite the tiredness, I dragged myself out of bed this morning and went for a light walk. It felt so good to move my body in the early sunrays 🌞 I got back home and ate breakfast, had a snooze, and then got started on uni. Balance. Balance and self-care. Difficult to practice but so-so worth it. Of everyone you're going to spend the most time with in your life, your body would be the one! Be your own team player 🙏👯

  • That man right there, that’s our rock! He embodies endurance and stability. He represents the ability to be grounded and connected with the Father. He is strong and versatile. Like a rock he has imperfections but that’s what makes him so unique and admirable. I love you husband and our children adore you! ❤️ #Thanksgiving2019 #lovewalk #thelovewalk @thelovewalk2019

Breakthrough: Lessons from the Life of Abraham Part 4 (I)

Romans 4:19-22 NIV
Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead---since he was about a hundred years old---and that Sarah's womb was also dead. [20] YET HE DID NOT WAVER THROUGH UNBELIEF REGARDING THE PROMISE OF GOD, BUT WAS STRENGTHENED IN HIS FAITH AND GAVE GLORY TO GOD, [21] BEING FULLY PERSUADED THAT GOD HAD POWER TO DO WHAT HE HAD PROMISED.[22] This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” If you've read the story of Abraham in Genesis 12-25, it's almost impossible not to rethink what's written here in Romans 4 about Abraham. Maybe what we are reading here is about another Abraham. He is the same man. In Genesis we see Abraham dealings with God and in the New Testament, we see clearly how God viewed Abraham. You see, God sees very differently from us. Let's use Gideon as an example, God saw far beyond the frightened man who considered himself very insignificant. He saw a mighty man (Judges 6:11). In Genesis 12 we saw God call Abraham and all that he was promised as a result of that call. Abraham was 75 then and his major breakthrough didn't happen until he was 100.

No matter the number of years. God's word has the ability of fulfilling itself. What promises have you received? You can be encouraged that it will definitely come to pass.
In verse 5 of that same chapter, we saw Abraham leave immediately..What has been spoken of you? What steps are you taking in the direction of God's will for your life? In Abraham's decision, we see a definite step of faith. He was told to leave for a destination not known, yet he responded.

You will need faith every step of the journey to walk with God.

Breakthrough: Lessons from the Life of Abraham Part 4 (II)
In verse 10 we saw Abraham leave Canaan for Egypt. He literally stepped out of God's promise. What? The problem food for the stomach will cause ehn, no be for here! To access food, he even told the wife to lie. Does the man who will allowed his wife to be married to another man, looked like the person God is talking about in Romans chapter 4?
In chapter 14 we see him back in God's plan for his life and we began to see fulfillment of the promises of God. Abraham had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and in gold but there was still something that has not been corrected. There was the presence of Lot.
Don't be sentimental about relationships. Gracefully exit relationships that are not taking you anywhere. Relationships that are more of burdens weighing you down than being a blessing (Hebrews 12:1-2). If you are going to walk with God, there are things that have to give way for the Master.
You will be better when you let go of those extra luggages. Right after Abraham let go of Lot, God showed up again assuring him of His promises.
Despite Abraham's shortcomings, God's promises to him was still as potent to him as it was in Genesis 12.

When you walk with God, He won't only speak about the past or the present, he has many things to say about the future.

Abraham isn't the only one that has been declared righteous. In Christ Jesus, you have been credited with righteousness (Romans 4:24-25; Romans 3:22-25). When you are faced with your mistakes, your failures, your sins, don't dig a hole and bury yourself. Look unto Christ, your salvation and your righteousness. Ask God for mercy and turn in the right direction. You serve a good God. In Christ, you have a good life. Look into your future with joy. It is as bright as the promises of God.
