In my last post, I shared about the difficulties we’ve had while traveling in Pakistan. But I want to be clear that I am by no means discouraging you from visiting this country. In fact, our time here was well worth it and there is so much I love about Pakistan ❤️
For one, the people there are fantastic. I’ve been overwhelmed again and again by the kindness of strangers we’ve met there - especially by the drivers who insisted on not taking our money because “we’re guests of their country” 😭🙏🏼 When we asked strangers if we could use their hotspots to book Ubers, many of them took the chance to welcome us to their country, gave us their numbers and told us that if we needed anything, we could let them know. There was a palpable sense of warmth coming from the people here and I was really touched by it 💛
Not to mention this country is absolutely stunning. We only got to see Lahore, Islamabad and a bit of Pindi due to limited time, which means we’ve barely scratched the surface. There is so much history and beautiful architecture in the cities, but I’d love to come back and see the breathtaking nature this country has to offer too! 🌿
And last but not least, even though the food was a bit too oily and meat-heavy for me, it was actually freaking delicious 😋 My personal favorites were tikka and karahi, but there are so many traditional dishes to try and it’s all really flavorful! Just make sure to find some restaurants with veggie options too if you’re not used to eating so much meat. Apparently we were just bad at finding them 🙈
Any questions about traveling in Pakistan? 🇵🇰👇🏼

Had so much fun meeting these cuties. Even though the joey was sticking its nose in my underarm at one point. 🙊
In the middle.of nothing, in the.knside of the inside you suddenly can find this medieval villa at the top of a mountain. Almost nobody there, population quite zero, all young people gone for a better live outside the thick protection walls that once surrounded out enemies... poetic place, nowadays a peaceful forgotten village... to me quite a privilege to have known this living historical place

In the middle.of nothing in Spain, in the inside of the inside, you suddenly can find this medieval villa at the top of a mountain named Rello... Almost nobody there, population quite zero, all young people gone for a better live outside the thick protection walls that once surrounded out enemies... poetic place, nowadays a peaceful forgotten village... to me quite a privilege to have known this living historical heritage place...
Hearing about those that were killed and are still missing after the eruption on Whakaari (White Island)... It's just so sad. It also is a stark reminder of the power and force of nature.

Fisherman on Kerala's Lake Vembanad, from our latest #tripwiredtours tour of South India. He took us out in the evening from the gorgeous Purity Hotel and paddled us past the Chinese fishing nets you can see hovering in the background. He'll spend the night on the platform working his net, heaving it up and down - he showed us how and it took a huge effort - many times each hour to catch prawns which are attracted to the lights suspended above the nets. That’s India, a dozen stories every day.

Walking through the streets of #olddelhi last month now what a lively and vibrant place it is. Now I’m thinking of those who lost their lives in the massive factory fire

🅴🅽 Palacio da Pena 🏰❤️💛 As I said, this place is a dream, unfortunately it is for many people 😜 Seeing this place without people is impossible, at any time, so we went with the idea that this site would be perfect for Photoshop Sunday/Monday 😊👏🏻👏🏻 ➡️➡️➡️ To see the before and the Making-of *Photo tip: As we were already going with the idea that there were going to be people, we took several photos of the same place, thus being able to use the gaps without people from each photo 🙈 To make this photo I only played with the layers, the rubber and only touched up some detail with the cloning plug 😊 What do you think of the result? 😜 ∙
So I have been thinking which travel to post next, and my phone refused to charge...I changed to a new phone ...couldn't figure out my Google password 🙈.and lost all my edited photos and WhatsApp messages..... whenever we travel I make a WhatsApp group of my family. In that group I post all the details, my thoughts, any travel issues, anything exciting and all the photos....😕so losing all that was sad 😭....this just reminded me that I should write about all our 30+ countries travel asap....let's hope Instagram and Facebook would keep my memories safe.
So it was again another half term...and few months before the half term I started surfing my favourite Skyscanner....I found that a return ticket to UK from Fez airport in Morocco would be super cheap ..ok that's sorted ...book those before they become expensive.... Now open the world map and see how to reach Morocco.....are you laughing at me 🙈...well this is how I plan my travels....so based on some nearby options...I found a single ticket from Stansted airport to Lisbon Portugal for 14.99£ per person.....this ticket was a joke...I would be fool not to book it.....now I need to figure out how to reach from Lisbon to Fez....😁😂...so if you are interested in this crazy trip...please follow me along my journey through three countries, one half term, and six nomads.....and yes this time our youngest nomad and the nomad dad will also make appearances 😁....please leave a kind comment on my trip planning skills 🥰

If you're planning a trip to #Vienna , do yourself a favour and add in a day to pop over to #Bratislava . It's an easy commute and a thoroughly enjoyable city to spend an afternoon, or more, exploring.
i am a sucker for magical moments — i am always boogying around Milano smiling because this city is full of those moments 🥰
the @teatroallascala is one of the top (if not the tippy top) opera houses in the world. the space & performance was everything i had dreamed it would be — a perfectly gorgeous theater & unique performance that ended with 5 separate bows from the performers followed by applause🤪🎭. pro tip: go at Christmas time & wander through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II after the show to see the gallery’s festivities — @camparinoingalleria will be there for you if you’re parched too ;)
Leeland is a big European soccer fan — and i have begun to enjoy it too — the main thing i really like though is all of the deep tradition & the super fans that wave their flags. the @inter game/night at the famous San Siro stadium was full of passionate Italian fans & we were eating it up💁🏼♀️
the Christmas markets are in full swing, wahooo! this weekend was “oh Bej! Oh Bej!” — the most important & historical fair in Milan. had to guzzle some of their vin brulé!
you could easily get lost in @fondazioneprada between the Wes Anderson bar (Bar Luce) & blackout maze that leads you to things like the twirling mushroom room🌈🍄
I always knew I was going to be back in this country eventually, and I know I’ll keep coming every time I’m able to... there’s something about the land down under that makes people fall in love with it, maybe it is the white sand beaches or the crystal clear waters, perhaps the surf or the vibes. I’m sure the locals have a lot to do with it always so cheerful and willing to give a hand in anything you need, but the tourists and the immigrants seem to blend in immediately as well. There’s something in the air down here that makes you forget about anything that troubles you and focus only in the good things you have in your life, be thankful and appreciate every second of your existence, be aware of everyone and everything that surrounds you and just live in the moment.
G’day mate! And welcome to the land down under!
