Happy Wednesday everyone! So pretty much everyone has been hit with this arctic blast of cool air and Fall has pretty much concluded. I'm super sad, and will still post a few more since Winter doesnt officially start until Dec. 21st 😬. My motivation takes a pretty big hit when it comes to winter photos. I hate the cold and try to plan for spring as soon as possible, but I will try to change that this year, or maybe try to open some new doors in the photograpghy world. What kind of photos do you like to take in the winter? Does your editing style change a lot, do you go for a cozy feeling because the holidays are coming or do you like the cool and moody tones? I would love to hear what your plans are for the winter!
As much as you all know I loooove waterfalls, High Falls Gorge was a must visit when I went to the Adirondacks! Unfortunately you have to pay 13$ per person, and it might be super busy (depending on when you go). A long exposure at the right time will make the people disappear if they're not standing still. This shot was at the very last bridge. Again, if busy, you might be fighting for picture space, but patience is always a key!!

AZURE KINGFISHER. Kingfishers are some of my favorites, and Australia is one of the meccas. On my last trip I saw 5 species - and with a little more effort 7 or 8 would be possible. The Azure Kingfisher plunge-dives for fish, swimming snakes, or other animals, catching them with a stab of their bill. They nest in tunnels which are up to 1 meter long, which are cooperatively constructed by the pair.
My favorite part of my trip were the deer from Nara. They really surprised me with their unique personalities 💕
Some where timid. Some where tough. Some where very smart. .
The last video shows a young buck and Dow practicing their bowing, just beautiful! .
Here’s one my recent images from the field. A coyote walking through a dirt road in the mountains. I’m also playing around with a new watermark design, thanks to my dad for building this design from scratch 😍. The process is a bit tedious but I love the layout and bear silhouette 🏔🍁
