I’ve seen lots of coastline but the Oregon coast is still my favorite.

If a trip into the winter wonderland known as the “Village of Lights” sounds like an adventure to you, grab your lederhosen and flannel… it’s time to plan your trip to the Leavenworth Christmas Lighting Festival!💡💡💡
What is the Leavenworth Christmas Lights Festival?
Village of Lights, Christmas Tree Lighting Festival, The Magic of Leavenworth…it goes by a lot of different names. But the basic premise is that for 3 weekends in December, up to 20,000 people a day trek from all across Washington state to witness the little village of Leavenworth light up with hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights.
To quantify that, just imagine 12 miles of Christmas lights. In the words of Tim-The-Tool-Man-Taylor, we’re gonna need “MORE POWER”…. 🕯Click the link in our bio to watch the video & find out more 🕯

This is "A quiet place park" about a 10 min walk from the Kingston Ferry Terminal. If you get on the 6:15am Kingston Fast Ferry you will make it there from Downtown Seattle by sunrise which is usually around 7:40am. So, I recommend this trip if you need a quick escape from the city and need some greenspace. Go outside, take transit and be healthy.

Just a basic shoe pic. Just showing off some of my favorite kicks. Please excuse my baggy jeans trying to ruin a good photo; I think this photo has just the right instagram aesthetic. Fall is almost over, but where I live, winter still hasn’t really begun. It doesn’t get frosty too often because of the rain, so it just stays wet and cold here….. It’s very pleasing weather as you can imagine. Cold…. Wet…. Windy…. A nice 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Enjoy your snowy cities! I need to eventually move. Living on only 200 feet elevation with a drive to climb mountains and a need for snow is not a good combo. Lol I was already having a hard time doing 3 miles on 5,000 elevation.
Sunday mornings for me are all about waking up slow and letting my thoughts settle. I woke up to a quiet, empty home and a bright sky deeply coated in a thick cloudy fog. The pasture and forest surrounding the house have such a stillness, and the blue grey filter over everything is comforting.
This morning I woke up asking myself what it means to take responsibility for my happiness and responsibility for my accountability towards taking care of myself. Those two things are so intertwined.
Life asks and demands more than we can handle. It is about how you handle it. For me though, it’s more about how I take a break from handling it, often, so that I give myself the space to breathe and reconnect, over and over again. My creativity is a constant through that process. Art in many forms feed my fire.

Happy Sunday ✨
Over the last 4 days a few amazing Christmas blessings came to fruition in my life. I was over the moon & saw how the universe will provide if you step outside of yourself, and let go of the attachment to whatever you’re expecting to happen. When you pray, and when you stand in service - you receive so many beautiful things.
Well this morning after a beautiful dream of my past dissolving and no longer keeping me held down, I slipped into the negative “what’s ifs”. I felt heavy, and I felt irritated all over again... like the last 4 days weren’t the most beautiful unfoldings for the future of my life!
THEN I WAS REMINDED THAT ITS EASY TO BE NEGATIVE, AND YOU HAVE TO MAINTAIN THE CHALLENGE OF BEING CONSCIOUS OF YOUR energy. You have to keep moving forward, stepping into nature, continuing in prayer, continuing in love, and hold the feelings of trust.. All of that to say, remind yourself to detach & trust your life’s course. When a beautiful thing(s) come into your life, don’t question it! Embrace it, bass in it, and stay in gratitude towards the universe. ❄️
This "koto-ji" lantern mirrors the one in Kenroku-en (兼六園), a famous garden in Kanazawa, Japan. Its name comes from the long legs that resemble the bridge of a koto, a 13 string flat harp. #portlandjapanesegarden#lantern

Brett’s Bend Birthday excursion (2019) meant we spent all day Saturday exploring, hiking, bouldering, and semi-spelunking.
We logged about 7 miles hiking and hours climbing into caves and up rock walls.
Before we head home, we are hitting our fave gym

Fun to see top posts for the year, but what it doesn’t show is all of the amazing people I was fortunate enough to hang with this year! I rarely climb/hike alone and I actually like it that way. Have made some great friendships and had some epic adventures because of the mountains and I am grateful! Thank you!!
Can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2020!
