Dinosaur Battle Terrarium!
Planted 2 months ago.
In this terrarium I planted all the plants in the back half. As they grow they will all gradually creep into the open space around the dinosaur figurines. You can already see many of the vining plants settling the new area. It is important to remember that plants have autonomy and you have to plan on them changing over time. I don’t necessarily always do a good job of this, but in this terrarium I think it’s planted in a way that it will actually improve overtime. Even with the design of the dinosaurs, it will just look more and more cool as they are enveloped by vines and leaves.
You can always trim plants back. But a trimmed plant will never look as good as a plant that has naturally grown in to a space, rather than be cut back to it. That’s why it is good to include empty space as a part of your plantings. This has to do with patience and planning for the future, which is a virtue. It’s always tempting to fill a terrarium with plants from the beginning, but then there will be no space for natural growth.
Made it through the week. Getting closer to Christmas! 🎅🎄🎁

There is so much excitement and anticipation for all that is ahead. Lately, I’ve been wishing I could fast forward all of the time leading up to the wedding and beyond next year and find ourselves back in a place of rest. However this anticipation is also beautiful as well. I’m working to enjoy and appreciate all the small moments leading up to it, in the present. Finding that balance of excitement for the future and appreciation for the present isn’t easy, but the satisfaction and peace that comes with this balance is more than can be put in words.
🥧🍒 Sheeee’s my chair-y pie! 🍒🥧 ⠀⠀
I’ve been taking a chair dance series from @will.dance4snacks for the past few months at @nightflightaerial, and it’s been a quite the hot little challenge. This prop is a whole new world of spacial choreography and bruises (s/o my knee pads for all your support), but the sassy feminine sexuality is totally addicting!
Until I get around to posting our final performance video from last series, enjoy this cool balancing shape we played with in class a couple weeks ago! Please also note the DIY step I needed to get my short self over the back of the chair.😹

Let me start the revolution of “decade” posts. Here’s one specifically dedicated to soccer/football. I played here and there in highschool, never on a team or anything. Just pickup games at parks and stuff. When I went to UMass, I never had time to play because of... you know work and school. So, Chris and I began playing as much as we could... on that field. It brings me back... learning all those things and being inspired by like Phillip Lahm and other randoms... Reus... Bastion... but Chris was and still is my inspiration. Our friendship has grown and taken so many different turns over the last ten years (let alone the 30 we’ve known each other). A lot of things changed over the years... playing with Nicole all the time. We don’t talk anymore but... I had a lot of fun with her and the Ticos. Jumping that fence in FR to play behind the police station on that professional Portuguese field... or at Espírito Santo. All my buds from Ecuador... we can play in January if you want some snow ball. I miss you guys and Aqua Man. I loved playing with Myles in West Virginia in that Church field. That was fucking beautiful. Living next to the field in the North End of NBMA kept me sane, I bet you can all figure out why (hot take). Moving back here I’ve made so many wonderful friends and acquaintances and I can’t thank them enough for being so welcoming and really giving me opportunities. Christian, most of all, the Toffees will win one... one day. Claire, for being a beast and motivating me. Grace for the Rams... AVVVVVVEEE IT. And all my teammates and friends that I play with now on the routine. Never good enough to go pro, but you all make it worth it. I love you guys and thanks for everything. ❤️❤️⚽️⚽️ #PDX#footy#football#soccer

It's that time of year again: ditching work for @holidayalefest! Kicking the festivities off with @deschutesbrewery's BA Super Jubel. Perfect beer to start with—big ol' winter ale with notes of caramel, fruit, spice, and a slightly vinous finish.
Wakanda forever 😅😅!! Love playing around with these #turquoise beads.... The necklace set was my 1st thought & the bracelet just happens to match. Check out the #tigerhead on the #bracelet . What does this set you in the mindframe of?
3pc Turquoise/Hematite (Unisex Bracelet can be sold separately)
Less is More: Throwing more things at our life and home is often not the answer. I remember back in college when I studied Art History and learned about Horror Vacui- being afraid of empty spaces. The type of art that has a million intricate pieces crammed into a space. I believe it is time to embrace the empty space to allow more experiences to come into our lives instead of more things. What do you think?
