  • The New Forest 🌳
I’ve been spending a lot of time in the New Forest recently, and I now have 4 blog posts up about walks I have done there. - One of them i thought would be 10 miles was actually 17 miles which meant I was walking in the woods at night...like the horror movies 👻.
- One of them I came across deer with big antlers and became paranoid that a beast was hunting me 👹. - One of them I couldn’t wear my hiking shoes and I managed to walk 9miles keeping my trainers dry, then at the very end lost the battle and my shoes got soaked through💧. - One of them I wet myself 💦.
I have 7 more posts to come, so I’m not going to make an IG post for all of them, but I will let you know in my stories when they are up ☝🏻.
These will include - a walk to the tallest trees in England 🌲.
- Cutting my leg on barbed wire 🩸.
- Getting cornered by a horse 🐴 .
- Being followed by another horse 🐎 . - Flooded trails.

  • The weather outside may be frightful… but sharing the trail with all of these women is SO delightful! Yesterday we bundled up in single digit temps in Colorado for our snowshoe hike to Lost Lake! Hiking to the snow covered lake each winter has become a tradition for us in Colorado. We had snow and cold temps… and nearly every person signed up still showed up that morning ready to tackle the trail… together! “These women showed up with temperatures barely in the double digits and knocked this hike out of the park! The weather didn’t stand in the way of them getting to know each other and encouraging each other all the way to the frozen lake and back!” -WWH Ambassador @kira.bullis
We’re geared up for a whole season of winter group hikes just like this! If you’re afraid to brave the elements and temperatures, come and do it with us! We’ll be sending out all of our Super Snow Saturday events all this week. Here is where we’re headed:
Utah
Idaho
New York
New Hampshire
Southern California
Colorado
Hiking in the winter with you is one of our most favorite things to do! Don’t miss out… because as Elsa says… “the cold never bothered me anyway…”

  • When you finally hit the top of the ridge after the Falling Waters Trail, Lafayette seems so close...and even though it's only 1.7-miles to the summit, it's a slow 1.7. If you look close you can pick out people on the ridge ahead.

  • Another smooth run at Chantry Flat this morning. 12 runners made it up to Mount Zion for a 9.5 mile/ 2000ft. loop and then watched as everyone tried to fight for our parking spots on the way out. We made sure to take our time to decompress while they waited for us to leave. Gotta get there early if you wanna get it in. God forbid you end up having to walk on your morning hike. 😂 Thanks for coming out everyone! It was a pleasure meeting some of you and seeing some old friends. Hit us up if we forgot to tag you. •••••••••••••

  • Day 1 of our 2-day backpacking trip though the heart of of the Wallowas in September. We started at at the Wallowa Lake trailhead and climbed up along the West Fork Wallowa River until fording the river and climbing up to the Lakes Basin. From there we did a side trip to Mirror Lake where we soaked our legs. We then hiked back up and over Glacier Pass where we setup camp for the night.

  • Little cabin in the mountains.
I‘d love to stay in a place like this - out in the woods, you being the only people in the vicinity and just nothing but mountains, calmness and fresh air around you!
That’s the dream!
How about you, would you stay there?

There’s this exhilarating feeling that I get when standing on top of a mountain or looking at some insane landscapes that reminds me that I’m alive and to stay humble because mountains remind me that I am small, but capable of reaching big things.” .

  • ‘Jacob Hamblin Arch’
During my recent backpacking trek through Coyote Gulch in southern Utah, I encountered many amazing sights, but few were as impressive as the magnificent Jacob Hamblin Arch. This natural sandstone arch and its adjacent alcove are imposingly massive! I felt dwarfed as I hiked along the stream at its base.
Coyote Gulch is a gorgeous narrow canyon formed by a tributary of the Escalante River in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. It’s visually stunning and and contains several unique geologic features. It’s been a dream of mine to visit here and see the legendary Jacob Hamblin Arch and other sights in person. The canyon’s remote location and difficult accessibility had delayed me until 2018 when I made full preparations to travel here....Unfortunately a herniated disk and subsequent back surgery cancelled my plans. Oh well, that just elevated my anticipation and desire to visit Coyote Gulch in late 2019 and probably motivated my rehab. In mid October, I ended up camping overnight at the trailhead, and then spent three days and two nights backpacking and camping in the canyon. How was it? INCREDIBLE!! I may be silhouetted in this picture, but, trust me, there was a big smile on my face 😁!
