For the past two months I’ve been sick. Constant stomach problems, viruses, just over all constant fatigue. I tried to blame everything else but myself for being sick. 
Instead of telling myself “hey, you’re not taking care of yourself like you should be. Your not getting enough water, you’re not eating right and you are slacking on your meds and vitamins.” I told myself oh it’s just that time of the year, I’ll get over it soon enough. Two months later and I still feel like GARBAGE. I’ve gain so much weight. So much. Like most of my clothes don’t even fit anymore. Life has been so chaotic for me. Between moving to Oklahoma, working full time, going to school, and trying to take care of everyone else around me, I forgot to take care of myself. And it showssss. My depression and anxiety are at an all time high. I don’t sleep enough, or I sleep to much. My eating habits are AWFULLLLL. My water intake is basically non existent. Coca Cola basically is in a my blood stream. I have CONSTANT stomach issues. And the list goes on! 
SO this weekend I’m declaring a self care/self love weekend. I’m going to my head right, plan out my meals, meet my water intake goals and just basically reset!

  • 💔If I gave my kids a teeny, tiny bit of antifreeze everyday, would that be ok? I used to. 💔What if I let them drink just a smidge of a Neurotoxin each day? They did. 💔What if let them smoke a cigarette just once a day? What if it’s second-hand smoke? 
Sometimes they had to multiple times a day. 💔Would it be ok if I let them apply roundup on their hands to sanitize them? We did everytime we left the house. 💔Or what about petroleum (gasoline) for their dry skin?  Every winter ❄️ .

  • It's good to back. I bring back with me beautiful memories, lots of new perspectives, and a killer tan.▫️

I also bring back a good dose of Bali Belly. Life is not a fairytale and every once in a while the wicked witch rears her ugly head. The reality of visiting tropical destinations is that sometimes you become susceptible to the local illnesses.▫️
.
This is not the pretty side of travel so move on if you're not interested. Without being too graphic, Bali Belly is just a shorthand name for traveler's diarrhea, stomach pain, cramps, bloating, etc. suffered by tourists in Bali. It is technically an acute case of gastroenteritis and is almost always caused by eating contaminated food or water. (Leave it to me to get it 2 days before heading home.)▫️

If you're headed to Bali (or any  tropical destination) here are some tips to avoid Bali Belly:

1. Only drink bottled/filtered water. This is imperative
2. Watch what (and where)  you eat (street food in Bali can be dodgy)
3. Up your hygiene (wash your hands often or carry a hand sanitizer)
4. Travel with @imodium_us or whatever brand you prefer 
5. Only eat freshly cooked food, avoid food that is sitting out at room temperature
6. If you buy fruits and vegetables, wash them in bottled water▫️
.
Above all, STAY HYDRATED. Its important to drink lots of bottled or electrolyte water.▫️
.
Bali Belly is a bitch and definitely not my favorite way to come home, but getting to sleep in your own bed, wearing your favorite sweats and having your brother take care of you is a surefire way to get back on track fast. Now ... someone pass me the crackers.▫️

  • Noch nicht mal ganz eine Woche krank und all gains lost 😭 meine Jogging Butze schlabbert schon 🍑❌
Aber gut, was soll man erwarten, wenn man sich mehrere Tage nur von Suppe ernährt, das Eiweiß nur aus Eis kommt und die einzige Bewegung am Tag eine Gassi Runde mit dem Hund ist, weil einen das schon komplett aus der Bahn wirft 👊🏼

Aber warum verliert man so schnell Muskeln, wenn man mal flach liegt ❓

Wäre ja schön wenn der Körper bei so einem Defizit einfach Fett abbaut 🤔 Fakt ist aber, dass der Körper noch aus der Steinzeit weiß, dass er Fett braucht, um zu überleben. Erst recht wenn wir sehr wenig essen ☝🏻 deshalb gibt's auch so viele Mädels, die ultra schlank sind, aber trotzdem sehr viel Körperfett haben (skinny fat). Der Körper fühlt sich mit so wenig Nahrung in eine Notsituation befördert und wird das Körperfett um jeden Preis halten, um zu überleben. Muskulatur ist hierbei "überflüssiger Ballast", da sie zusätzliche Energie verbrennt. 🔥 Folgt nun keine Belastung der Muskulatur, glaubt der Körper diese nicht mehr zu brauchen und baut sie ab 🤷🏻‍♀️
Fazit: Die Muskulatur benötigt genug Futter (besonders Eiweiß, ca 2g/kg Körpergewicht) und den nötigen Belastungsreiz, um sie zu erhalten bzw aufzubauen. 💪🏻
Da bei mir gerade beides fehlt, geht's bergab mit den hart erkämpften Gains 😭 knapp 3 kg hab ich schon verloren und ich fühle mich wie ein dünner Lauch.. 😩
Hoffen wir dass ich schnell wieder gesund werde und zumindest 1 2 Wochen noch Gas geben kann, bevor meine Diät tatsächlich los geht...
