... We probably should have put the money into our mortgage.
... We probably shouldn't take off month without booking weddings for the sake of adventure.
... We probably should focus on starting a family.
There's a LOT of 'we probably should be doing this' in life. Isn't there? The pressure's of the 'supposed to's' and the normal of what most people do are real.
But I've never wanted to walk the path that everyone else did, I always desired adventure and knew that I'd marry a barefoot adventure loving boy and I did. (hi, derric).
I quit school early and graduated when I was 15, I worked three jobs while my friends were in school and I chose the path of owning my own business instead of doing the normal 9-5 because I like different.
Buying a school bus may have been the most ridiculous thing we could have done in this time of life but that's how I like it.
We have a freaking huge adventure ahead of us between converting this thing into a living space and taking it all across the country next summer.
I can't wait someday to tell our kids the stories of when we were young and in love and we just did what felt right, even if it didn't make sense, and show them the love of building your own path of adventure. I can't wait to take my kids on vacations to grand places in this bus.
SO - you create the path you want. Don't listen to the supposed to's, or should do's.. Do you. :)
LIKE BUYING A BUS OUT OF NOWHERE TO CONVERT INTO AN TINY HOUSE. YESSS PLZ!

Health and fitness on the road. Alex was an ameture competitive lifter 🏋️ back when he had an office job and a strict routine of training and dieting. He still coaches clients remotely and loves it. For some funny faces, check out @blastoff_strength
Our first @harvesthosts experience was most definitely a success! We spent the night last night at Golden Acres Ranch in Monticello, Florida where we were welcomed by the owners and their fluffy, friendly Great Pyrenees "predator" dogs. Today we got to explore the farm, fed some of their goats and picked up a few items from their country store!
For those who don't know, Harvest Hosts is an App that links you to farms, wineries and golf courses that offer overnight parking for a very cheap annual rate and no extra costs! Those interested in boondocking should definitely check it out.
We pretty much got the bus cleared out!! I haven't seen the bus without tools or saw dust in it for awhile lol 😂 were sooo close to being finished, it's on the tip of our finger tips. We were saying how crazy it is that we can actually narrow all the things that need to be finished down and actually count it on one hand😂 can I decorate now? 🤨 -Meagan

Notez tous les efforts pour donner au bus un look 100% Noël! Il y avait de la guirlande dans la place 🎆(PS: Jacob mentionne que c’est pas son meilleur micro donc focus sur le faux sapin brillant héhé) 🎤🌲

A little fakesgiving meal to comfort a cold day of working on Bussy! Our home oven is broken so we just use the bus oven.😁

Used @kilmatusa under the driver seat and firewall to help silent some engine noise. This stuff works amazing! 10/10 would recommend! Also picked up a @pabstblueribbon tap handle that I made into my door handle! .
We are out of town for a few days and havent been able to get to the bus! So I figured I'd share a few pics of our cabinets with the hardware on them! Before we took on this bus project I(dom) had never done any woodwork besides cutting studs and building headers for a framing warehouse. Although they are not perfect I am very happy with the way our maple cabinets turned out! I never had any plans drawn up and honestly designed them as I was building them. This certainly was not the easiest way to go about it but when building a bus with so many angles, curves and slanted walls I have found that cutting piece by piece and building it as I go inside the bus made it easier for me to make a square, level cabinet/counter. Things are getting very close on the build! We only have a few projects left (ceiling trim, solar panels and finishing propane lines under the bus)until we start to move our stuff in! It will be a real test moving into the bus in the middle of winter but I know we are ready! Thanks everyone for following the progress this far!

It’s my birthday, yay!!!! Feeling so grateful for this day!
State of the bus report: plumbing is complete, washer/dryer are hooked up, and electrical work is 95% done. Ongoing projects: finishing shower stall and building back wall. Big to dos: remove and skin over a few of the back windows w 18 ga steel, install interior roof, hook up propane water heater, and install moar cabinetry.

💁🏻♀️ On s’appelle on déjeune?
This is not the best photo but means so much to us! This was our first night in the #skoolie . I (Maria) cried when we clean up the bus and was ready to be functional. I said - I can't believe this is our home 🥰 -. Took time, research, a ton of videos, countless trips to #homedepot , #lowes , #walmart and piles of Amazon boxes. And after 2+ months we were finally ready to start our journey!

Got the toilet and surrounding shelves and cabinets installed! Also got some of the floor trim done! Look into our story for videos.
Yes we do have three kids that live here in the bus with us, and no we’re not just a single couple with a dog.
Most of the people reaching out to us ask how it is living in a bus with 3 kids, well it’s like any other home, but just on a miniature scale. Eden is standing in the hallway putting deodorant on, while Silo brushes his teeth standing on the toilet🤣
Lincoln is at the kitchen sink and I’m only a foot away snapping a photo. And yes we LOVE our compost toilet from @separettwaterlesstoilets
The thing I love about living on the bus, is that were all within 36 feet from one another at all times, the thing that I don’t like about living in the bus is that two people can’t stand side by side in most areas😆
This is a season and it’s been one that we will look back on and remember more then anything else we have done as a family so far!
What do you think would be the most challenging thing for your family if you lived in an RV full time?
📸 @pauldussault
A little before and after of one of the shower walls we completed with some tongue and groove cedar! This specific cedar has lots of purple and maroon colors to it that we are excited to see when it is clear coated!
H A P P I N E S S • It is easy to get caught up in life and forget to actually live. Where your days just sort of blend together and your routine becomes monotonous. That life works for some, but scares Colin and I. We’re terrified of being confined with no room to grow. Too many dreams and too impulsive I suppose. Ironic how shifting from a beautiful home to a tiny school bus makes us feel more free. Like we can breathe. Like we have space to be ourselves and live out a life that we create, rather than a life that has been given to us by society. • Cheers to you and us finding our Happiness and all that comes with it. • 🌿
