Living in a boba world 🥤
This year has been a wild ride and I never would have imagined Nom Life becoming what is it now, being able to show a peek into asian culture and our life through the lens of food, quitting my full time job back in January to pursue NL. Coming from an Asian immigrant family, career and salary are so important and to chase your own dreams is a luxury that not many of our parents understand or appreciate. Both Jeromy and my parents worked in the restaurant industry and we worked with them as soon as we could hold a tray without dropping it. Coming to America as an immigrant isn’t easy, all our family hopes for is for their children to have opportunities that they didn’t have.
I wouldn’t have been able to do pursue this path without the support of Jeromy and my brother who have always been there for me 110%; through the good, the bad and the meltdowns (by me) and all of our friends who have encouraged this little endeavor from the start. I’m humbled and grateful for all 86K of you who have continued to support all of our content, and even have been excited for us when we got brand work! Please know it doesn’t go unnoticed!
This path isn’t easy, and I’m not totally sure where it will go, but I’m excited and I’m even more thrilled I can take you all on this journey with me. So here’s to life, liberty, and the pursuit of onigiri. 🍙♥️ And, I think my dad just might be my number one fan 🤣
Tie Guan Yin Tea Latte with Grass Jelly (L) $~5.60
What I like about their drinks are that it’s not too sweet (30% sugar) and the grass jelly are tend to be on the soft side, rather than being harder and chewy. The bitterness of the tea doesn’t cover the taste of fresh milk, and I really enjoyed it, along with my J&G Chicken from the Crystal Mall food court!
Overall: 9/10 (with pearls may taste better :p)
