♥️ Let me introduce myself:
I’m Margarita, yes, Like the Drink!
I am a Ninja-Quality Assurance Engineer who’s worked remotely for the last 7 years. Sounds kinda complicated...
Owner of ILoveMyQA a Vancouver-based tech comapny that has clients around the world.
I started my QA journey 7 years ago after I thought I needed to start doing something in the IT industry. I sucked at Math at school and I couldn’t even imagine being a programmer and it also takes years to be good at it. I wanted a quick solution how I can earn good money and not have to code.
Being a QA is the solution.
A quick, little background that shows my NON-technical life before being a QA:
I used to work as a photographer and had a photo studio in Moscow, then I worked in some office job as a photo editor… I stumbled upon QA Engineer descriptions online one day and thought it looked kind of interesting….I had no idea if it was possible for me to do or not…it sounded weird at first…so I started googling it and watched all free Youtube videos I could find (which were pretty boring honestly)
Then - fast forward - I finished 5 courses online in 3 months of How to become a QA and was so confident that I could land a job so I started going to interviews! And I GOT MY FIRST JOB AFTER the 4TH INTERVIEW!!! Seriously, smiling, having confidence, having a positive attitude and being genuine is about 70% of what’s required…
My first job was in an office in Russia, Moscow….not ideal, I know…but it was a great start and I learned the culture of the technology world and developed some real life relationships with people…
Then I landed my first remote job after a year in the office and started travelling, I visited 17 countries in total.
Then I moved to Canada 3 years ago and my English and communication skills were not so good even though I was working for an American company at the time.
Then I started learning English like crazy… 👇🏻more in comments!👇🏻 #margarita_hello

One of the best things of this year was sharing the Cappadocia sunrise with my mom. It’s so good to share happy moments with loved ones, specially when these moments are rare due to the distance. So much gratitude! ♥️
E vc? Acompanhou a trip?
I think I’m obsessed with my new @luglife collapsible backpack. It holds a ton (because I carry on A LOT of stuff!) but packs up into a little pouch, complete with carabiner to clip on to your purse or belt. I wasn’t planning to shop at BWI but that’s what happens when it’s 4:30 am and your 5:50 am flight is delayed and the coffee rush kicks in. #noregrets#airportshopping
Porta Nuova stands at the entrance of Corso Porta Nuova, that offers view on hills, mountains and towers. It was built in the 16th century by Sanmicheli, great architect of his era that designed lots of villas, churches, getaways in Verona. The stone door served as the main entrance to Verona.

"Ok, after almost a month here in Israel, I think it's time to share something. Today's morning ride! From this unique spot on the northern end of the Gulf of Aqaba you can see four countries at once - Israel in front of you, Saudi Arabia in haze on the right, Jordan on the left and Egypt just a couple kilometers to the right. I think it must be the only place of this kind 🤔"
Carolina and Jose are a young, adventurous and amazingly talented, not to mention charming and good looking couple from Portugal who run things here. Carolina is the most amazing cook. Meals here are delicious. She’s a cheesecake wiz! I chose the fresh lime, given the abundance of fruit from the organic farm this magical property sits on. (And the prawns, given the owners here are, in addition to beef and coconut oil, Vanuatu’s sustainable, low impact prawn farmers - delish.) I know my job is pretty great and I have been to some awesome places, but this one feels like the best dream ever. Possibly because I had the best nap ever in the sun this afternoon - it’s been a busy few months! The only other guests are Gary and Gabby from Austria, both journos with a fascinating life and who are great company and very funny. Christmas has come early. #vanuatumoments#vanuatu#thepalmhousevanuatu#flyairvanuatu#islandlife#travel#travelwriter#travellerauwriter#travellerau#hosted by @vanuatuislands
Jordaan district was probably my favourite neighbourhood in Amsterdam.
Amsterdam is probably a traveller’s favourite, no trips to The Netherlands is complete without a few good days in this picturesque city. However, to experience Amsterdam and all its charms its essential to know the best districts/ neighbourhood, where you stay clear of the tourist stampede. Damrak square, de wallen and centrum are overun by tourist and can ruin your impressions of this city. However, Amsterdam has a lot of great quieter districts & neighbourhood to experience the real aura/essence of this city.
Some of them are:
✔️ Jordaan District (spend the best evening here during our time in Amsterdam)
✔️ De pijp
✔️Oud west (Vondelpark and De Hallen)
So if you have plans to travel to Amsterdam in near future, you may bookmark this post.
And if you have already been here, which has been your favourite Amsterdam districts/neighbourhoods to explore?
Still wonder how Angkor Wat is NOT one of the 7 Wonders of the World 😱 This place is truly so adventurous and mysterious 🤠 All these ancient statues in the middle of the jungle 🌿🗿
