Ubud is in many ways Bali's cultural heart. It's in the cool mountains, just an hour's drive north of the airport. This traditional country town is home to one of Bali's royal families. You can even visit the majestic palace in the centre of town. Ubud is also well known as a flourishing crafts centre and beautiful rice fields.

City palace museum area has 3 pretty doors. The queue to get in here is longer than you'd guess! The people waiting here gawk at you and smile, once you finish taking your picture, you gawk at them back. Isn't it great? It's fun watching people getting their pictures clicked.
Many mixed feelings following me on this trip, fear of loss, hope of a new beginning, a wonder of uncertainties... But after a few days in Bali, I’ve came to the realisation that there is something magical about this place...dripping sweat, breathless of exhaustion after a hot hard training session, there is this energy capable of renewing your energy, body, mind and soul.
And suddenly all those feelings turned into the certainty of gratitude. The certainty of how blessed I am (and we all are). I guess there is some wisdom of not knowing.
Terima kasih Bali. 🌺 •
Put this Paddy (Patricia) in a padi field and what will she find? A glorious restaurant! LOL and meet my mew friend Theo who joined me For this excellent pink prawn salad. This is a wonderous place. ❣️❣️❣️ I had asked several people -what is Ubud like? - and I just didn’t get a straight answer except that maybe three days would be enough there! ❣️❣️❣️wrong! Well, I guess it’s my kind of place. Called anything from a village to a city - I would say it’s a village that has kept on growing! In an organic sort of way, it rambles on...❣️❣️❣️ with all sorts of interesting buildings, many with straw awnings and offerings to their gods on every pavement - made every day, sweet bamboo boxes with flowers, a bit of food like a biscuit and with incense burning....❣️❣️❣️loving it. Oh and the shops???? The most glorious selection of boutiques, craft shops, art galleries and an amazing market. Dessert - the house speciality Orange spring rolls 3 of them! I ate 1 and had the others wrapped in a banana leaf for later but then the rains came! Decided to make a dash for my hostel a km away! ❣️❣️❣️Drenched to the skin I decided ah what the hell - better eat the other two as they were going to be ruined. Do I strolled along, happy as could be, singing in the rain ☔️ eating my lovely orange spring rolls! Went for a lovely massage after that. ❣️❣️❣️Had a fab day and booked for a few more! #happy#bali#ubud#cute # #bonnieontheroad#blogger#travel#travelblogger#islandlife#sunshine#culture#balinese ❣️❣️❣️
А я ? #Keepcalm and teach English ✌🏻.

The swimming pool is nestled in the lush garden next to the river, a unique opportunity to relax and be delighted by the blissful surroundings. ✨🎋🍃

Tegenungan waterfall attraction is not so high, only around 15 meters, however the water discharge is quite large, the roar of the Petanu river is heard from a distance. the water is clear, so if you can get closer, you can feel the freshness of Tegenungan waterfall, water vapor flying over the faces of the visitors plus the beauty of the rock cliffs, on the river flow, adding to its naturalness, can be the best photo object in your tour

Amed Beach in Bali is most likely already in your Bali travel itinerary if you're a keen diver. The island’s eastern shoreline boasts an underwater playground, and Amed Beach is among the favourite between two main sites (the other being Tulamben, 25km to the north). Amed Beach in Bali was once best known for its traditional salt farming. Soon after its beautiful underwater trove was unveiled, with an historical shipwreck adding to its natural features, Amed Beach became a favourite among divers, particularly Jemeluk Bay. Ask for Amed Beach in Bali and you’d be directed to any strip along the coast that spans seven different seaside villages; Amed, Jemeluk, Bunutan, Lipah, Selang, Banyuning and Aas. All are fishing villages, hence the traditional jukung outriggers that line the coast

Tegallalang rice terraces in Ubud is famous for its beautiful scenes of rice paddies involving the subak ( traditional balinese cooperative irrigation system), which according to history, was passed down by a revered holy man named Rsi Markandeya in the eighth century. Tegallalang forms the three most splendid terraced landscapes in Ubud’s shared region, with the others being in the villages of pajeng and campuhan.
The Tegallalang rice terraces alone offers a scenic outlook that spreads down before you and away to the rice paddies on the slopes across the valley. The high roadside location is cool and breezy and it is a well-known spot for tourists to stop and take pictures. Painters and nature lovers also enjoy visiting this spot, and there are numerous art kiosks and cafes near the ledge offering their ware..
