  • INSTAGRAM vs REALITY - Swipe to the end for BTS. Everyone doubted my ability to hike in heels! #imaprofessional
🎞
Your perspective will either become your prison or your passport 🙌🏼 - I love these photos because it isn’t the usual perspective you see of this place. It gives space to dream!
...
I’m also loving recently shooting one where I’m out of focus. It brings a more vintage film effect to a photo and allows the viewer to really focus on the surroundings, which are the true star here 🌟 What do you think?

  • What kind of planet is this? - that was my first thought when I saw red rocks in Utah.

Nine years ago I passed through a small town called Cedar City, and even though I was there for a short while I knew I had to come back someday, and sure enough, the next year I moved from Russia to the U.S., and ended up at a University less than an hour away from the very same place. That’s how my 6 year journey in UT began. Serendipity 😏 #rocknroamgirl

  • After being cooped up pretty much since the accident we were finally able to get outside on a little adventure today!
It was so nice to be up in the mountains again & hiking. I’ve talked before about how therapeutic and good for the soul nature is, but man even more so now. We are going to try and get outside as much as possible before the cold comes.
The boys loved it. Griffin got some pent up energy out and Watson loved being carried and able to look around, especially since he’s not really mobile yet.
So if anyone wants to do a very slow hike with us this week!

  • Growing up in Florida, the desert always seemed like another planet altogether.
I’d only ever seen the winding river gorges in movies and read about the red stone walls in books.
When I moved west, I couldn’t believe how vast the desert is.
How many unmarked dirt roads, free to the public, simply snaking right off the highway. .
.
.
The way everything there carried on with a discernible air of survival, like everything and everyone had fought, clawing and crawling through life, just to remain there...it was unlike anything I’d ever seen.
Nothing’s really hidden there.
The prismatic desert sunsets drag across the entire horizon like a canvas painting spread taut across the sky.
The stars prick the velvety blue of the night sky, millions of them clustered in plain sight.
In the desert, there’s room to breathe.
Big, wide breaths.
Everything gives its neighbor space.
The plants, the trees, the winding rivers...they share a vastness only seen in the desert.
Even sound has a numbing quality in the desert.
The massive sandstone monoliths absorb the maddening thunder of the human world.
the desert the veins of the earth, laid bare.
There’s a guy-wrenching solitude that can be found down a dusty desert road, one that makes your bones ache. .
.
.
Yes, the desert is a special place to me.
But the desert does not care about my love or adoration.
She doesn’t care about the past or the future.
She simply is.
.
.
.
And if there’s one thing I love, it’s something that truly is.

  • And then there is the most dangerous risk of all...the risk of spending your life not doing what you want on the bet you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later.
- Randy Komisar
Get out there folks.
It’s worth it.

  • L O V E. 🥰 I took a quiz about the 5 love languages recently. It is an easy quiz but I think it helps you understand what is really important for self love and being in a relationship. And if you are in a couple help your significant other understand what is important to you. At least on a basic level and then you can elaborate from there. You may find what they think is showing love is not how you perceive love and visversa. Preception is reality. The scale includes: Quality Time, Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts, Words of Affirmation and Physical Touch. Communication and trust is key to any relationships. And also being able to laugh at and with each other. ❤ What is love to you?? What is most meaningful to you in a relationship? 💞

For me, quality time is what I hold most valuable. Spending time with loved ones and sharing memories. I also perceive acts of service and small tokens of appreciation high on my list. Doing small gestures and gifts always meant that they cared for me (this is also a weakness of mine in relationship, I'm a receiver but I'm getting better about being a giver, attributed to being the baby of the family, I'm spoiled), Words of affirmation are nice but I hold action stronger, actions speak louder than words and last physical touch, I'm not a hugger much so that isn't how I communicate and determine affection. But if you notice someone is sad, sometimes a hug is all they need! 🤗 Take the test as with all personality tests with a grain of salt and use your best judgement when analyzing yourself! Use it as a guideline. You know yourself better than and personality test or anyone else! 🖤

  • Vi consiglio di non fermarvi solo al bellissimo view point del Bryce, ma di scendere all’interno del Canyon per una vista come questa 🔥

🇬🇧 I recommend you not only stop at the beautiful view point, but also to go down inside the Canyon for a view like this 🔥

Anyone have any recommendations for off-the-beaten-path stops, hikes, etc. in Sedona?
We ready!

  • I’m about to take my big ol horse dog on a walk in the rain. She learns so quickly and she’s turning out to be a very sweet, loyal and protective lady. Have I ever mentioned how much I love these trees? They photograph beautifully and they add a special element to nature photos, too.

Edit inspired by the wonderful @keslerbear 🤓

  • One of the very best days of my life! Hiked along the spine of the spectacular monocline, where one wrong move could easily prove fatal. Oh how I love to be on the edge of a ridgeline! ♥️♥️♥️ If you really want to feel alive, climb on top of this thing. #uppermuleytwist

  • Sometimes the only sort of balance I feel I have in my life is the kind that requires me to not fall on my face and eat 🤬 when descending an iffy patch of trail while carrying another human. Bravo to whoever tries to have it all together. They must be going insane. 😂
